Is this the problem we have had at the back this seaon?

Today Chimbonda, Zokora and Kaboul had good games and Lee wasn't as good. Although for me Lee has been our best defender so far this season (Not inluded Bale as he has played at LM as well)

The 3 that had a good game today all speak French, im not sure how well their English is but surly the comunication between these 3 must have helped today?

You might be on to something, I'm sure I've heard mention of a site that may point us in the direction a french speaking African/French left back to complete the back 4, yes another one. Can't remember what it was called thooo.... ?

But we can already field an all french speak back four of Chimbonda, Kaboul, Zokora, Ekotto. Why waste the money on Taiwo.

Signing Taiwo is not a waste of money at all. We would get a top quality player added to our squad.

Point taken, B-C, and I agree that Dawson has been somewhat short of gorms, but the sooner we get King (or even Rocha) back the happier I'll be.

Our makeshift back line did well enough today. How would it have performed against better opposition?

When Jol was bemoaning our "lack of a leader" in defence early this season, I'm sure he was implicitly criticizing Dawson. There were times when it was Berba who was organizing our defence at set pieces - truly ludicrous, especially given Dawson was the only native English speaker amongst our back four.

I do hope Dawson is OK. Going to hospital for migraines doesn't sound good. But one thing's for sure, Ramos will have no favourites. Once (if) all our CBs are fit, I'm sure he will judge them on merit - which should see Big Tone & Rocha pushed a bit further up the pecking order. And that means Dawson will have to up his game, and prove he is an EPL-quality defender. But I certainly wouldn't write him off yet. Just as I wouldn't write Kaboul off yet.
