Its fantastic that we finish above them. Fans of Spurs are just putting up tough guy faces if they think that it does not matter.

However, we should not bring ourselves down to their level by trying to look for a name. That's just lame and pathetic.

With @yusrisafri on this. Pun-ny names are a little bit shit because puns are a little bit shit, but finishing above Arsenal in the league IS something worth celebrating IMO and I don't understand the mentality of fans who deny themselves that satisfaction.

That said, there are bigger and better things out there to celebrate. Hopefully we'll be celebrating like fucking crazy after winning the biggest prize of all in just under 3 weeks' time.

The best name for the day we're usually above them in the league?

Sunday.

Oh FFS why won't people just let this thread die?

We don't need a special day for finishing above those pricks, we're not a pathetic bunch of petty twats like them.

Just fuck this thread off forever please.

Anyone who finds this thread unbearable there is a simple solution, don't come into it.

Anyone who doesn't want a reverse st totteringhams day , again fine ...don't participate.

i am in the minority on here its clear, but i will participate, infact i gave all my scum facebook friends the full two barrels yesterday and loved every minute of it..lol

Imature ? yes ...... childish? yes ... do i give a fuck ? No.

The manager [Pochettino] has insisted for years that finishing above Arsenal has never been his priority since his 2014 appointment. Such words echo his sentiments on silverware, and are completely at odds with both the media narrative and expectation. But as the Champions League final has proved him right in that respect, so too has the sheer lack of fanfare at looking down at Arsenal for the third season in a row. As much as that says about the struggles the Gunners have encountered, it speaks volumes of Tottenham’s exponential growth.

Of course it's great finishing above them. Especially if you live in London and know a lot of gooners.
I enjoy the banter with them personally.

But the whole st totteringham thing. Well the best illustration of everything about that, that I can think of, is when a few weeks back we slipped up one weekend and immediately the gooners at work started saying its st totteringham day. Even though we were still above them. Glad it turned out so well for them.

I just enjoy the subtlety of not acknowledging it and how it makes them feel that we aren't even concerned by it. I get the feeling it really digs in for a lot of their fanbase that they make it a massive deal these days and shows how far they've fallen in the past 20 years to go from challenging for premiership titles to their main rivals not even seeing them as worth the effort of mocking.

Exactly, although this time round i've been making shit up saying how relieved I am because it's added 150 mill to our stadium naming rights deal just so to add the flavour of their failure directly benefiting us in a big way.

Poch said last year or year before about small club mentality. We are bigger than that now and arguably bigger than arsenal from two seasons ago onwards. Why bother with petty names of days.
