The former Juventus, Inter and Italy boss was speaking at a press conference when he expressed irritation at the English way of doing certain things, above all with regards to the discussion of transfer strategy and financial aspects.

“In England I think there’s a bad habit that it’s only the coach talks and explains,” said Conte.

“I’ve never seen the medical department coming here to explain. It’s the same I’ve never seen the club or the sporting director coming here to explain the strategy of the club.

“In Italy, before every game there’s a person from the club that goes to speak to the media. I think for us it could be really really better, otherwise there is only one face to explain the situation that I think is better for the club to explain. It’s habit and I respect this habit. In Italy it’s different.”

If the medical dept did regularly publicly report the current situations, conte would be the first to complain that they were giving an advantage to the opponents. That they were demoralising his side. That they were contradicting him on how fit a player was to play.

Instead this dept will report the situation to conte every day if not not more frequently, and it is up to conte to decide what he tells the fans. If he doesn't want to tell us, that is fine, but instead he creates unnecessary tension, making out the medics are holding back information from us all.

As for getting Levy in front of the press, it would not happen, and if it did, questions would be confined to ones like 'Is this the best stadium in the world?'.

But sure, I'd like to see Paratici grilled every week. Oh yes.

He's got a point. Why should the chairmen get way with making all the important decisions without facing any scrutiny? They should have to face the music too

Narrative only heading in one direction I’m afraid - distancing himself from the club
Only going to end one way

Then next coach in, rinse and repeat. The laundry goes in fresh, comes out haggard looking but we keep looking at the clothes and not the machine.

When you have multiple people from different depts saying their piece, there is a much higher risk of the cracks showing with each dept wanting to vindicate themselves of any blame.

But its all a deflection by Conte anyway. Means he doesnt need to talk about the pulse-less football, the posturing and uncertainty over his future and that we just got schooled by our primary rivals in our own back yard by "Peps cone boy".

Then maybe it's just the coach and the sporting director that should be subject to media questioning.

It is quite strange with Paratici, given that he was very much a front row figure for media at Juve. I don't actually disagree with Conte in terms of perhaps a culture change at clubs in the UK might be a good thing. I still think in the context its just deflection + a bit of a shot across the bow towards the board.

It might be a bit of self preservation, yes. That being said, with the current radio silence, filled only by disquieting Itk, it makes one fear the worst.

I saw one interview with paratici - in his front room I think, and he was completely vacant. Strange as he supposedly was not shy with his opinions at juventus.
I guess when you are dominating the league then the questions are much easier.
