Unfortunately, Steed's OG was just one of those things that happen in football. Could have happened to anyone.

What is this? Match fixing?

Yep!

UEFA has asked police to investigate 15 football matches over allegations they were fixed, officials have confirmed.

Asian betting syndicates are said to have pocketed millions of Euros through rigged games.
UEFA, the governing body of European football, has given Europol - which investigates international organised crime - a list of the suspect matches.
German magazine Der Spiegel says officials handed police a 96-page document outlining their suspicions.
This covered a total of 26 games, including three in the third preliminary round of the Champions League, two in the UEFA Cup and one in the Euro 2008 qualifiers.

It is thought 15 of the suspect games were played during the current season with the other 11 taking place between July 2005 and November 2006.
A UEFA source told reporters: "15 matches are under investigation and being dealt with by UEFA's disciplinary committee."
The matches mostly involved teams from eastern and southern Europe - notably Bulgaria, Georgia, Serbia and Croatia - but also the Baltic states in the north.
Earlier this week, UEFA opened an investigation into the Intertoto Cup match between Bulgarians Cherno More and Macedonia's Makedonija on July 7, which Cherno More won 4-0.
The news comes as UEFA officials meet in Lucerne ahead of tomorrow's draw for the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland.

look no further than today and urirah rennie's obvious delight at the brummies winner after assumingly having a big part to play in the sending off.
