I think he said in an interview the other day that he had improved on his scoring record every year whilst at SPurs.

I think that is a more impressive stat because it shows he is improving year in year out (and hopefully so is the team)

If this tread continues then we can expect a fantastic season from Keane next year.

(if Berbs goes and no big names are brought in to replace him KEane my thrive on being the star striker)

Umm, not in the league he hasn't.

On the face of it this stat reads well, but when you think about it, 10 league goals in a 38 game season for a top striker isn't actually that great. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to score over 10 every season for 6 years, but none of the top strikers have been playing in the premiership as long. It's an OK stat.

A really praiseworthy, and impressive stat is Ronaldo scoring 30 goals in a premiership season, or Torres getting 23 in his first season here, or Santa Cruz getting 19 at Blackburn.

Want an impressive stat? Robbie was top scorer in the Premier League during 2007. In all competitions he scored 31 goals and had 13 assists in just 40 starts.

By the way, another striker who has played regularly for the past six seasons is Wayne Rooney. His first Premier League goal (vs Arsenal) came in October 2002.

I agree with Flatters. Whoopie. He gets £30k/week for scoring at least 10 goals a season for the past 6 years. He's just good at staying away from being injured.
