Apparently it read :

Hi Diego, I hope you are well. Thanks for the season we spent together. Good luck for the next year but you are not in my plan.

So could the text have been a bit more subtle, kinder and more politely worded ?? I am sure many of you could come up with a much better way of telling the guy so let's see your messages.

How about :

Hi Diego, if you are passing the ground over the next couple of weeks could you please drop your locker key off at reception ? You won't be needing it any more...cheers Antonio.

One of my workmates is a Chelsea fan. He was telling me that Conte sent a text out to all of the players wishing them an enjoyable holiday, or something along those lines. Apparently Costa sent something sarcastic back, so Conte told him he'd had enough of his attitude and that he no longer considered him as part of his plans.

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but my workmate really likes Costa so there's no real reason for him to make that up. He's also fairly knowledgable about the goings on at Chelsea, so where there's smoke...

"Hi Diego, hope you're well. There's no way you are under 50y old, going by your face, so we need to bring some youth through. Try not to kick anyone or fall over on the way out. Bye."

Difficult to believe as Costa is as thick as shit to (a) read the text and (b) respond to it .. The guy is a delinquent twat.

Dear Diego, I keep a photo of you next to my fireplace, it keeps the kids away from the fire, and so has saved me money on an expensive fire guard. This is the only use I have for you, so off you fuck.

I once met someone who worked at Chelsea in their hospitality division - he told me that off the pitch Costa is actually quite a nice guy - shy and polite he said, and a complete contrast to Terry and Mourinho who were as rude and arrogant as you'd imagine.

Would be surprised if Costa is there next season TBH. His form notably dipped in the second half of the season after all the China rumours started and I think Conte wants someone he can rely upon to be a bit more consistent.

Diego...

I didn't want to block you on Facebook, but it's for your own good. It's not you. It's me.

I heard this too from a friend who has corporate tickets and has met the players a few times.

A mate of mine sat next to Costa on a flight from London to Madrid. Apparently, Costa's English was poor but he's friendly and happy to chat with fans, even when they do support West Ham...

As much as i dislike him, he's definitely one you don't want to see in Chelsea's team when you're playing them. On a good day he's a very dangerous player, a complete twat but a potent striker.

Not that it's a problem for them but they'll have to spend big to replace his goals in the team.
