Ok, I know its only one game yesterday but bellamy played left midfield for man city. He dosent play there but was asked. He did ten times the job keane did. They both have good work ethic etc but bellamy was superior, Maybe because of the pace. But his performance v arsenal was phenominal, a goal and assist he really showed why harry wanted him. Maybe we should of signed him and not keane. I can defiently see why we wanted him. He is someone you want in your team he works hard and can play. I was very suprised. Man of the match for city.

I would have rather we bought Bellamy in the summer than Keane, and I HATE Bellamy.

I never wanted Keane back after the way he left to Liverpool and the impact it had on our season last year...we could have gone down as a result. Fair enough he came back and played his part in getting us out of trouble, but to me I wish he had stayed in Liverpool and BEllamy was probably the only other alternative at the time.

However obviously when Man City came in for him seriously we had little chance.

Pretty pointless post really tbh. Probably over 20 players played better on the left than Keane did yesterday should we have bought them aswell. Keane is a Forward and Harry should not have played him there.

Citeh were playing a 4-3-3 yesterday with Adebayor up top and SWP and Bellamy as the wing forwards. Keane was the square peg in the round hole of a 4-4-2 LM. My whole problem is there were players in the squad far better suited to playing on the left but as Keano has been given the captains armband he seemingly has to start whatever position that maybe.

Pointless post. We tried to sign Bellamy, after Defoe was injured, but Duxbury refused to sell to us. Reports at the time suggested that Bellamy was keen to join. After he signed for City we re-signed Keane and the rest is history.

Of course, Bellamy is more comfortable on the left. He started his career on the wing for Norwich and Coventry and has real pace.

Can't stand Bellamy as a person but, nowadays, prefer him to Keane as a player.

No he is not - but we have to get someone else playing on the left. I was sitting right by Keane for the first half - I could have had a chat with him, he wasn't doing much else. John O'Shea was totally in control of that patch.

Pretty pointless yes, but no more so than the million posts about Arshavin everytime he scores a goal or does well for Arsenal.

The guy was just posting to make the comparison between Keane and Bellamy, both strikers deployed on the left yesterday and both targets for us in the last Jan transfer window, one of which we signed.

I think the post is as valid as any at this time, give the poor guy a break

I don't like Bellamy, think he isn't a particularly good player and besides, he hates playing on the left.

Ok a few people have called my post pointless. Its because I have put my point across poorly. Im not comparing the two on the left, i was just saying that this weekend bellamy played it properly on the wing.

What i mean though is bellamy showed yesterday in his performance why harry wanted him. Why he praised him in january. He isnt the shit player a fair amount of fans whinged about.

Bellamy is a cock of a player and man....and that is the truth. The 'cock' is a liability and has no loyalty at all....hence his 'travel' history.....He is poison...and Hughes needs to be 'sectioned' IF he continues in this vein (or in Bellamy's case....VAIN lol?).
I say, and pray that Harry knows a 'dead beat' when he sees one....COYS!

Bellamy is a good player, but I wouldn't be happy seeing him here at his price and age. I guess Harry likes his nastiness, but I don't.

There are plenty of players who would do much better than Keane if shoved to the left wing/wing-forward. Kranjcar, theoretically, for one. Keane did decent there against Brum, which I suppose is why Harry thought he might try it, but he is obviously not a left winger, or any kind of option for our left. I'd even play Mr. Jinx there before him. With the depth we have in our squad, the players should at least be playing in their proper positions - three strikers in a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 is just silly.

if i remember correctly the majority of the forum were NOT impressed with the idea of Bellamy coming from WHU

again it's the anti keane brigade looking at another way of having a go at him
