Spurs striker determined to seal fourth place.

Peter Crouch is desperate to experience UEFA Champions League football with Tottenham, saying that it would be 'magic' to face Europe's top teams at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are in pole position to finish fourth in the Premier League ahead of Wednesday's huge clash against Manchester City.

Victory at Eastlands would secure the coveted position, while a draw would also leave Spurs in control of their own destiny going into the final game away to Burnley.

Crouch has already played in the continent's premier club competition with Liverpool but is hungry for another taste of the action.

"It would be massive if we got there," said the striker, who has scored 12 goals for Spurs this season.

"It's the biggest competition in club football. It's where everyone wants to be, playing against the best players and playing the night games.

"There is a great atmosphere when the music starts at the start of the match and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It's fantastic.

"That's where a club like Tottenham want to be. We deserve to be there. It's a club with fantastic fans and European nights down White Hart Lane would be magic."

    Vital

Crouch, who could be recalled to the starting XI against City, believes the victory over Bolton on Saturday was vital.

He said: "We had to win against Bolton. We thought that City would beat Villa at home and obviously they did so it sets up Wednesday to be a cup final for us.

"If Villa had won that would have made our job a little bit easier but it's still in our hands.

"We can still win or draw and get a result at the end of the season so I'd still much rather be in our position than everyone else's."

Not sure how much use Crouch will be against CL-class defences.

Wonder if we might get Berbatov back?
