Was what Crouch said stupid? Yes.

Was it racist? No.

The likes of Mikel should be thankful that they don't play in eastern Europe or in England when John Barnes did then they would see real racism.

No doubt England has its fair share of divers Owen, Gerrard, and Beckham has all dived several times for England.

What Crouch was saying was English players they go down don't pretend to be injured and he's right. I find it disgusting watching grown men getting knocked to the floor, rolling round like they've broken their leg and then running around absolutely fine a minute later.

It's bad enough pretending you've been fouled to get a free kick or penalty but pretending the tackle was so severe you are hurt is only designed to get your opponent booked or sent off. Crouch isn't racist and didn't say all foreigners do this and i think people should speak up more about these things we've allowed to creep into our game.

Seconded, maybe why the players hadn't said about it before as this is what it would be seen as? EVERYONE talks about the european diving etc so in effect we could all be taken up for racism if he is going to be that petty :roll:
