I'm gonna try and get this back on track, cos evidently some people think a certain 'person' is God's gift to football in the back 4 dept.

Anyway, I agree with this choon!!! (i'm sure you'll find some you-tube footage of me singing it - then u might agree too )

i shall be down for the sunderland game, if i pluck up enough corrage, or drink enough beers, i might just try and belt this out in the pub before hand!

I'm talking about Ferdinand's and Terry's worth within the world transfer market. Also, players who play in their homes country and are transferred to another team in the same league will always involve an over-inflated transfer fee and not just in England. Spanish players are vastly overpriced within Spain (Ramos) and the same for Italian players (Lentini, Cassano.)

But we are not in Charltons league nor was we at the time of Darren Bents transfer ........

Ledley's the best defender in the world. Of course they would want him.

I would, they currently 1st in spain and we're currently crappish.

They have a better keeper, better defenders, better midfielders and better strikers and you wouldn't swap all that for a player who is more injured than not.

Of course not. Ledley is Tottenham. He's my hero.

Rio Ferdinand isn't even the best at United

He has loads of ability, but unfortunately he often suffers from the Chimbonda problem of looking stoned and lacking concentration at times.

That's not true at all nowadays. In fact it hasn't been for a few years now. The days of the sorts of Bramble-esque mistakes that Ferdinand had a bit of a reputation for are now long gone and he has turned into a superb defender. The problem is that parts of the media banged on about Rio's cock-ups so much that they've become an almost universally accepted truth and people can't see the fact from the stories.
