Just as an aside - i hate that Trippier let that out for a corner - don't let them set up. He did that in the first half too - let a ball run out for a throw, which we promptly cocked up - when he could have played the ball instead.

There are players out there today that are backups to our backups and they're all playing at once. If you genuinely think that we're in a situation that could have been foreseen then I can't argue with you.

I would contest that the reason we have so many injuries is because of a lack of rotation. We hardly ever rotate and we've got to the point now where we're dropping like flies.

We've run Kane in to the ground consistently when he's been in desperate need for a break and we have a glaring lack of depth in CM. We have not bought a couple of solid, strong, first 11 quality players to really compete for the overused positions.

A proper striker for rotation and a good ball-playing CM and we wouldn't have so many injuries imo.

Yep, and any season where we do finish above Arsenal is satisfactory at least for me, so I'm not in out-and-out revolt mode as such yet. But just like Alan Patridge, this is a negative, Lynn, and right now I need two positives: finishing above Arsenal to cancel out the negative of the league cup semi-final exit, and then actually winning a pot, just so I can have a positive.
