These last seasons we've been a dirty team, we played hard. Now we're the ones getting bullied late in the game.

Reason behind it is simple mate.......no poch pre season means we have NOT got the edge in the physical sense this season!

I apologise to Sissoko for every time Ive slated him:censored:

Hes looking really really good, credit it to him, he really must have put in the work. Hes gone from looking like he plays for the Nags Head to looking like Yaya.

Well done lad.
This is why you always have to get behind a player who wears the shirt. The slagging off of Sissoko remains one of the most embarassing things I have seen from our "fans" in recent years.

Unless a player openly disrespects the club he deserves our support. And that applies to Sissoko as much as the latest hate figures like Trippier, Dier, Davies and Llorente.

Fuck me I’m in bits!

Sissoko was channeling his inner Hoddle today, some lovely cross field passes to feet.

But, by Christ, this team puts years on you!

Was Kane subbed off at half time?
Your question should be... was Kane playing

Moss was an absolute disgrace.. how could he pull the play back that Kane foul on Townsend when the lattet had already regained his balance and composure to continue play..

I think more the fact he was repeatedly right in the way of play and, while i'm the furthest thing from a gymnast myself, he looked like a fat, drunk guy stuck on a level crossing trying to get out the way.

Hennessey didn't show himself up at all, full credit to him, he was sharp tonight. Palace worked really hard but surely if any club can feel that pain of every shot straight into the keeper, a fraction wide or blocked, over and over again, it's us - we've been there, I do feel sorry for them, but I'm glad for the points.

Foyth looks like he really enjoyed himself, Lamela was stoked for him when he scored, but I'm starting to wonder if for all the benefits Lucas brings to the team, he's also the reason Kane isn't getting so much time on the ball. He's getting into the spaces Kane used to appear in, popping up out wide and running the ball across the box, Kane seems much more central now and is having way less influence on what's going on around him.

Im beggining to think this as well. Ever since Lucas has played more inside the less Kane tends to get involved. Very difficult situation.

My wife told me to calm down, because when she asked me if the match had ended I couldn't answer as I was trying not to retch. It was in the third minute of extra time.

Media have really written us off. No signings, paying for new stadium, delays on that, not playing well etc.

I agree with one of those statements. We are not playing well. But... Poch is a legend.

He is nursing players after the WC etc. Basic line ups are getting results.

When he gets us in gear, all guns firing, we're gonna win the league.

You heard it here first!

Saw a stat that said Zaha has never scored or assisted against us. (not sure if all competitions or at home/away)

Regardless every game is different and I still think we would have seen a better Palace team had he been playing today. But hey, I'm not here to argue how Palace may have won under different circumstances, I'm just happy we won :D

Great result and some great individual pluses (Foyth, Sissoko, Aurier very good and Alli hopefully back to 100% after the break).

Big negative: I know they are knackered but the game management was poor. Really needed to clam up and fire it up to Son on the break. The one time we did that we got him 1 on 1 and he should be have buried it

Such a nervy game. Really good 3 point s though. We sometimes seem to just plays ourselves into all sorts of trouble by always playing out from the back. Don't get me wrong I think it's a good strat but the execution is wrong. So many hairy situations from by our own making.

So happy for foyth. The whole team loved that goal.

A lot of the criticism of our style [lack of] this year is failing to take into account the difference between playing home and away. We've played 8 out of out 12 league matches away and the "home" matches have suffered from being unexpectedly at Wembley, which we got used to last year, but is a different proposition when everyone expected our sojourn there to be over.

What's extraordinary is that we have won 7 out of 8 away matches. That's unheard-of form. Title-winning form. We've scarcely had any chances to show off our quality in a well-supported home match, but we've delivered 2.625 points per game playing away.

Later this season, I'm hoping we'll be able to take advantage of the 4 extra home matches, wherever they take place. A lot depends on getting over the rash of muscular injuries. As someone pointed out earlier in this thread, it's been 7 of the players who returned from the World Cup who have had these injuries. Now 8 with Trippier. That's another couple of reasons we've been disjointed: exhaustion and injuries. But we have a great squad, so we're hanging in there, waiting for a break.

I know me too, just puts into perspective when people shit themselves about Trippier/Davies etc having to play against the mighty Zaha.

lol Fuck me, I'm done
I want to be diplomatic, I don't dislike Aurier as a player and I don't have any agenda against him or anything, I actually thought he played pretty well today, but in lack of a better way to put it, if you're going to fight about him I do think his crossing ability is the wrong hill to die on.

Sissoko has been streaky for his whole career. He depends on his confidence being at its highest in order to play. He's had lengthy runs of being a real asset for nearly every team he has played for (except Newcastle), but then his confidence or his fitness will take a knock and it takes him up to a season or two to get himself back together again.

His passing was not only competent today, it was observant and creative. If he can pass like this, as well as making direct runs, tackling and using his positioning, he can be a big contributor. But he needs to keep his head up and his mind clear.
