Sorry, it's (were). Apart from that you are still wrong. Tough season with bad injuries and we are still competing. Let's give the team some support...
Maybe he will in the next world if his dodgy knee gets better.

Of course. We did that pretty much all through the 90s with most of our players. There's a couple of players at the club now that I don't rate, but just because I don't think they're that good doesn't mean they don't deserve my support.

They wear the shirt, we support them. At least, we always used to until the internet came along and everyone started using it to hurl abuse at anything and everyone.
I’m guessing you missed those years in the stands, before the internet, when we had the likes of John Pratt, John Lacey (Spider) and Chris Armstrong.

We’ve always had the idiots who needed a scapegoat to hate on, it’s just that nowadays they’re not limited to the stadium to spout their bile.

Let’s not rewrite history. Sissoko has been poor since he’s been with us up until the last month or two. He’s now got some confidence and it’s coming out in his game. I’m really happy for him.
Who's rewriting history?

No one is rewriting history, he's playing well at the moment and long may it continue.

I was one of sissoko's biggest critics, but while he's playing like this I have no reason to criticise.

We have finally learnt how to win 'ugly'...some games you just need to nick a goal and then get through unscathed and without making silly defensive mistakes....Great play and superb skills cannot come with every game and then you just have to grind out three points. Not necessarily pleasurable to watch but definitely nice to be able to do.
Top four for sure I reckon but if we can beat Chelsea at home then dare to dream......

Why the fuck not? All the players are shit, we've not played at home for years, we always play shit and pretty much everything is shit. (according to some)

Liverpool fans have been deluding themselves for years, so why shouldn't we dream a little sometimes?

Also, regarding full backs...some of us watched Justin Edinburgh and Dean Austin. Davies doesn't get much love either,
thought he had a good game tonight.

What about kerslake and palo tramisini (sp?) they made Edinburgh and Austin seem ok.
Davies is a steady eddy type of full back rarely makes costly mistakes but not a eye catching player
