i was so close with my score yesterday and i even put a bet on for 2-1 and then Chadli goes and fucks me over by scoring a goal (lovely goal though)

Bastard :(
Not sure how much you stood to win but chadli's goal stopped 2 people winning the super 6.so it could have been worse ☺

If anyone does GIFs or just wants to rewatch it, have a look at a great piece of team play by us after a palace throw in around the 66th minute. Dembele with two great touches, chadli the same, Eriksen back heel, Alli nutmeg and then a whipped in Trippier cross that Chadli was very close to powering in. Superb bit of play.

Not sure where to put it, but is anyone else worried slightly by how our collective press has dropped off massively.

We seem to be dominating games more now in terms of possession... But that relentless press we saw for a few months has seemingly disappeared.. It's not just me imagining it either, it's backed up by that stats.

I worry because that element of our play was what made us so effective vs the 'top' teams, and we're going to need to rediscover it for the games against Arsenal and City.

I honestly think Poch has them pacing themselves mate. I also think we showed on Saturday, the energy is there, when needed. We went up at least a couple of gears after half time, and then went up another couple of gears after we'd equalised and had a tweak in tactics.

I do get your point, but we also basically have a week off (our big boys do, at least) so that's also gonna do them the world of good.

Stay positive buddy (y)

No, it's impossible to press every game and unnecessary so we are conserving energy for when we need to.

Watch us when we play the likes of City and a
Arsenal, we are going to be pressing like rabid dogs.

Everyone was concerned about us burning out for the 2nd half of the season and this shows yohans that we are managing ourselves so that doesn't happen.

I'm a bit surprised nobody has picked up on the whole post. On the one hand we're dominating games more in terms of possession, on the other, we're not pressing as much. Surely if we have the ball more, it follows that we wont have to press as much.

That right? I mean it sticks out like the erect bellend on a horny dwarf………..Or is it me?

I was about to say the same, though without the horny dwarf reference. Just not my cup of tea, but to each their own!

Have you got those stats handy?

Would like to see the difference between the games we have been playing.
Im guessing we saw less pressing against Leicester as they hit long a few times. Pressing them high up the pitch just gives them more room to hit us on the counter and gives us even less space to try and break them down

I've watched a full re run of the game twice now, and Alli played pretty well before the magical moment.

Its horseshit to claim that he was really poor, absolute horseshit.

It's more down to Leicester barely having 30% possession across the three games. You can't press if there's nothing to press...

Are you saying a load of absolute horseshit was peddled in the match thread?

That's outrageous, I refuse to believe it :cautious:
