Yeah so to be fair loan only may not be too bad, as we probably consider ourselves very confident in attracting players and probably think Ceballos would stay after a years experience

That feels like week-old information.
To be fair, us agreeing terms on a season-long loan with no option has never been claimed before.

I thought that was option to buy otherwise he'd be a Madrid player again and Chelsea couldn't buy him because of their ban.
I had previously thought this was the case, but I actually don’t think it is. They could sign him as long as it was done before 1st July as they already held his registration. But I don’t think it necessarily had to be a clause in the loan, and I don’t think it was.

Arsenal are so skint I believe they’d actually do a deal like this.
Yeah, I actually reckon he's more likely to go to the Arse as he'll be more likely to start and can jump from the rat infested, sinking excuse for a ship at the end of the season.

They signed Denis Suarez on loan last season. He made 4 appearances which is the same as Kim Kallstrom managed when he was on loan there. The Kallstrom deal is still one of the strangest deals I've seen. They signed him on a six month contract despite discovering during the medical that he had a back injury that would keep him out for months.

If he's going there it must be because he's looking to stay at Madrid long term. Better we pull out and go for someone who wants to be here.

yup, it's the terms of the loans that are key here. If st etienne are set on the loan back, he'll go to the scum. if it's the same with ceballos and having no option to buy then he'll go there too.

they're desperate at the mo and will agree to anything to get bodies in for as little outlay as possible.

And are gambling on getting CL again next season, and when they dont they will be in even more trouble.
