Thank you (y)

I think the lack of pace & work ethic = why Pochettino played Rose behind him? Seemed a very good (productive) left side with those 2 on it?

Oh no doubt, I think it very clear that Poch feels more comfortable having Rose with his athleticism behind Chadli or Eriksen. Even then, it's prone to problems, as we saw with Ibe's dismantling of our left side at Liverpool last season.

Since Chadli has been out of the team injured it's no coincidence that the team has played better and looked more of unit and the best Poch has us playing. I haven't just forgot about his goals but his work rate has always been poor, i constantly watch him and laugh at how little he does off the ball and i'd struggle with anyone saying otherwise and for me, we have better players ahead of him in the squad. People get too hung up on individual stats. Oh Chadli scored loads from midfield last year, however there are no stats which show how his lack of tracking back, lack of tackles and lack of pressing affected us defensively and how many goals or games we lost because of that.

To say he was standout player last year is a tad over the top. If he isn't single handily winning games for us (like Bale) or scoring regular match winning goals (which he rarely does) then he doesn't cut it for me as a starting 11 player for us because it's to the detriment to the team and unless we see a big change in his work rate i think he will really struggle to regain it, maybe a good impact sub but that's it. Happy to be proved wrong.

Not necessarily. Pritch is right-footed and better suited to LW in Poch's system other than No 10, while Didavi is right-footed and better suited to RW, while we're looking very likely to move Townsend on
.

Didavi is actually left-footed. He could be Lamela's understudy as well as play a ACM.

I think - and certainly hope - this article is just nonese. Why would Spurs give up their only "capable" understudy CB for an attacking option that won't be a starter and Spurs have several players who can fill in attacking roles.
Thus said, I would like to have Didavi sign for Spurs when/if Townsend is sold.

Tottenham Hotspur and Stuttgart have both been linked to each other's players, could a compromise be reached?

Tottenham and Stuttgart are both reported to want to do deals with one another, so could a compromise still be reached this month?

Spurs are tracking forward Daniel Didavi, report German outlet WeltFootball, whose contract expires at the end of the season, and could look to strike a deal with the Bundesliga side keen to cash in while they can.

Stuttgart meanwhile want to sign Kevin Wimmer on a loan deal until the end of the season, although The Mailclaim Spurs do not want to let the Austrian international go.

It may make sense for Spurs to make a U-turn and compromise so a swap deal can be reached which allows them to secure Didavi and strengthen their attack.

What they need to consider is whether bringing him in early is worth the price of being without their third choice centre-back for the rest of the season, who while he has barely played all year, could be needed in the second half of the campaign.

Loaning Wimmer would mean Spurs would need to keep Federico Fazio, although they could look to move Eric Dier back in central defence in an emergency rather than play the Argentine, but given the Englishman's effectiveness in midfield, neither are solutions which the club would want to rely on for weeks at a time if injuries struck.

Didavi, 25, is a former German under-21 international who has scored seven goals in 16 league games for Stuttgart this seaso

He is more of an attacking midfielder in the Christian Eriksen mould than a striker, but is also capable of playing out wide, and would increase the competition for places at the club at a key point in the season.

Wimmer would be a sacrificial lamb to bring in Didavi now if Stuttgart do not want to accept a cash offer, but Tottenham would have to prioritise who is more important.
