"We have reached agreement for the permanent transfer of Charlie Daniels to Leyton Orient.
The 22-year-old left-sided player, who has come through the Academy ranks at the Club, spent the whole of last season on loan with the League One side, as well as enjoying a one-month period with Gillingham earlier on in this campaign.
We wish him every success for the future."

Good luck to him.

Very clear that we're trying to get rid of the older reserve players, that's two out now and I would not be surprised to see a few more go.

Good luck to him, shame he never made the grade. From what i saw of Simon Dawkins at the O's, he's a promising player. There's a fair few names amongst our youngsters now though that have tons of promise - s'funny, no matter how much i dislike Comolli for whatever his part was in the Martin Jol scandal, i can't help but begrudgingly admire his younger signings who are only now showing their potential.

I have always thought Charlie is a useful player - he is not the most technically gifted, but his physical strength and stamina and positional discipline, allied to the ability to whip a ball in, make him an effective overlapping leftback. Good luck to him.

The phrase "reached agreement" on the Official Site implies a fee was involved, but on the Orient site it says they signed him on a free. Apparently they wanted him in the summer but baulked at our price.

I saw him play for the youth team a couple of times and thought he looked quite good. As he stayed until he was 22 I'm surprised he didn't get a run-out in the first team. Obviously he's a nearly one...good luck Charlie!

Good luck to the lad. We have had a habit of keeping players like this for ages, but I think its better for us and the player that they move on if they cannot make the grade
