Really not bothered. Would have been a handy member of our squad, but he'd have largely been an impact sub. The likes of Milner and Ings heading to Pool doesn't fill me with fear at all...

Ings and Milner to Liverpool is a case of two northern-based players deciding to stay in the north, simple as that. Plenty of options and they chose to go there.

No one is saying Ings is crap.

A bit disappointed he hasn't chosen Spurs. Life long Reds fan living his dream. Can't really berate him for that.

I don't know if either were targets but I'm pretty sure both would have made a massive difference to our squad. Disappoint.

Well ings was clearly a target. We weren't even at the races for Milner given we won't pay the wages (unless it's to Adebayor).

Ings I like as a player, could actually do well there.

Milner - I just never got it, those wages... I mean he's decent in the terms that he does a job, is solid and that, but those wages, he's hardly a world beater

Fair play to him though!

I like Ings. Solid all round forward. I don't think he's what we needed.....we've got one of those. Will do well at pool though.

Funny how yesterday Lyall was still saying we were positioning ourselves and Ings was considering his options.

Cannot stand James Milner as a footballer. Bores the pants off me. Think he’ll be ordinary like Gareth Barry is without great players around him

Ings is a more tricky one. Much younger with just a season in the prem playing for an awful side. Could become a very decent 15 goal a season man or could be another Liverpool flop

Moving to Liverpool can make you or break you, even more so than Tottenham. Good luck to him, he's going to need it

Went oh so well for Rickie Lambert & Robbie Keane didn't it...
I totally agree and hopefully he regrets the move but if it was me and I had a chance of playing for Tottenham (the team I support) or a team where I had a better chance of progressing, I would still go to Tottenham because that opportunity may not come again.

Anybody going to Liverpool at the present time are making a huge leap of faith. Brendon is not having the best of times spending huge amounts on wages. Strikers are Balotelli, Borini, Lambert, Sturridge, Origi and now Ings plus some others......
