Really think he's making a mistake with that move.

Other than Newcastle, I can't think of a worse club to join at the moment, and I just hope for Ings' sake that it doesn't end up hindering/ruining his career as I think he's an excellent prospect.

It's funny, I thought I would be more cut up about this championship striker picking Liverpool.
But I just find myself not giving a fuck.

Apparently we offered him more money, better school facilities for his kids etc. but it was that crying cockney Liverpool fan on the radio that sealed the deal in his heart..

Anybody going to Liverpool at the present time are making a huge leap of faith. Brendon is not having the best of times spending huge amounts on wages. Strikers are Balotelli, Borini, Lambert, Sturridge, Origi and now Ings plus some others......

Most of those STs will be gone or frozen out and I'm pretty certain Ings will have been made aware of this. Origi will play either ST or Inside Left/Right as Ings can do. There's also talk BR is going back to the diamond like 13/14 so that'll mean 2 STs.

Ings will compete with Sturridge and possibly A N Other/Benteke (if BR gets his wish). With Sturridge injured all the time he prob fancies his chances to be honest and why not?

Interested to see how he does.

With Sturridge's injuries and the other strikers not performing there is an opportunity for Ings here.

Liverpool have gone from SAS last season to ISIS (Ibe Sturridge Ings Sterling) next season. Dramatic.
Knowing Rodgers though, it will probably be more like SHIT (Sterling Henderson Ings Teixiera).

I like Ings, and would have liked him here, but perhaps he doesn't fancy his chances competing with harry Kane week in and week out, and with Sturridge being a sick note, probably feels he will get more game time with the dippers

Think Milner is a better signing for them.
In one of the match reports on yesterday's no-score bore in Dublin, the writer made the perceptive comment that Milner is the sort of player who plays his best football in a good team. On this basis, I suspect that he's just dropped an almighty clanger!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...verpool-he-can-be-better-than-Harry-Kane.html

So it appears;
Ings is regarded by many to be best of the U21 strikers and a certain England striker
He has more components than Kane to become a striker at the top level
Apparently Berahino and Ings aren't similar and Ings are more like Kane

Don't get me wrong Ings is good but you cant compare him to kane until he has done well. Whilst you can point and say he played for Burnley, I can do the same for Austin who performed better.

Kane is the youngest striker to score 20 goals in the PL, whilst that may of been a lucky season, he still achieved something that isn't achieved regularly(not even Berbatov or Keane did that for us)

Not one else think it is humbling to see Liverpool scrambling around in the bargain basement looking for vaguely talented players who they can get on a free. How the mighty have fallen.
