Mane's a winger, as is Rodriguez. Long's shit. Pelle was good at the beginning of the season and has fallen off. Do they even have 20 goals between the 3 of them? Ings has like 9 or 10 goals this year in Burnley's side. He'd walk into the first XI at Saints.

Yes they do, 24 goals. Pellé has 13, Mané 6 and Long 5.

I think the point is being missed here. The suggestion was that he'd want to go somewhere he'd be guaranteed a game, so I was pointing out that he'd have less people ahead of him at Spurs than he would at Southampton.

Regardless of opinion, if Koeman rates Pellé or Long ahead of him then he's not guaranteed a game. We also know that his "9 or 10 goals in Burnley's side" doesn't automatically mean he'd score more or be suited to Southampton's style of play.

He's not the next Berbatov, but he strikes a good balance between workrate, technique and physicality.

Ings would be a great purchase... to solidify our place as 7th best team in the league.

Bale, Carrick and Keane were also young signings from floundering clubs.

We are so bad at signing CFs. Berbatov and Kanoute have actually been the only two good ones we've picked up in more than a decade (since Keane in 2002).

Germany and the EPL (Ings and Rodriguez) is the only place I'd bother looking at all - strikers from Spain, Italy, France and Holland generally can't adapt to the EPL.

Is that why the best strikers in the league are Costa, Aguero and Giroud? (n)

Bale was already the best young defender on these islands before we bought him and only 18, Ings is nothing in comparison. Carrick again was already on another level. Ings MIGHT approach being a Robbie Keane if the stars align for him.
