Danny Rose will not travel with the Tottenham Hotspur squad to Singapore on Wednesday for the club’s pre-season tour in Asia and instead the left-back will stay behind in England with a view to him being sold.

Poch warned us of painful departures 2 months ago.

Danny Rose predicted that he would be sold as well.

This was always on the cards if you were paying attention and reading between the lines.

Really, really hope this isn't true.
Rose was so often one of our key players last season.
Even if we're signing Sess - we need strength in depth and more importantly we need experience.

Can only assume that Poch has replacements ready to sign, because if not, that's bad management. Buy first, then sell.

*edit* I guess Poch turned us into an harmonious team/dressing room from the rag-tag we once were when he arrived, so benefit of the doubt. He knows what he is doing.

It would be so Spurs to finally fix our midfield and simultaneously leave us woefully short at left back.

If we can get in a left wing back who can provide more than three assists in a season then it will be a good move , if we don't it's a bad move. Best left back at the club is Jan Vertoghen but he prefers central defence.

Reckon him and Mopo have had some chats, Mo has likely said if your heart isn't 100% in it and you're sure you want to go then I won't stand in the way if the right offer comes in. Rose seems to be less vocal about wanting to go so that makes me wonder if the respect is mutual and he's agreed to not talk about it while any deal is sorted out.

Notice there's not many rumours about where he might be looking at ending up if he is going to leave, so how far along any potential suitors are on the Levy assault course is anyone's guess. Considering how rabid the media and fans are for ITK this suggests to me that either no-one has made a serious bid yet or it's a bid sensible enough that the two clubs have kept it under tight wraps to ensure it goes through.

One thing I will say in Rose's favor in this regard - at least most of the chatter comes from him, not his agent. Most of the time it's the agent touting players around, whether they're available or not. Doesn't seem to be the same relationship Dan has with his agent, which is refreshing.

Pisses me off because it means I'll have to do another avatar, and I can't remember where my shifty copy of Potatoshop 7 got to since the reinstall... tits.

I never quite liked him until last season, when I finally got to warm up to him. Ironically, he was one of our most committed players last season and played a vital role in our road to CL final. It's probably the right time to cash on him but I will be sad to see him gone.

We didn’t even replace Walker, now we’re going to sell our only other fullback with any pace?! Unless we sign someone of quality as a replacement, it’s a big step backwards.

This will almost certainly weaken us. Not just a loss of ability, but attitude too.

The of Aurier and Davies at full back is quite limiting. I hope there are plans, or that Rose doesn't go.

Lets not beat about the bush - he had a low period but when he's firing on all cylinders he's like a bull. He takes on anyone and I don't think i've seen him back out of a 50/50 in forever. He rides a fine line with the aggressive way he plays but unlike, for example, Juan "The Hitman" Foyth, he's had time to tune that side of his game and does it fantastically well.

He can be a bit of a big game player, seems to really excel when the pressure is on, and I would be very sad to see him in another team's kit but if his heart isn't in it anymore then it's perhaps the right time to see if there is greener grass elsewhere for him.

If it's a pay thing then I would suggest he hangs around because if we end up with cash left over from the window then I expect Poch will want to put that into renewing contracts on better wages, so he could end up quids in as one of our longer serving players.

By the end of this window five of the starting XI who accumulated a record points haul in 16/17 could be gone. That might start to provoke questioning of whether the team has been improved over the past three years.
