Danny Rose stops just short of asking for transfer

So, in other words, you couldn't answer my point? Some of Rose's comments are idiotic and frankly disrespectful: he was a nobody going nowhere when Poch showed faith in him and coached him like never before. He should stop parroting his uncle.
Your point doesn't make any sense so I t's difficult to respond to. No we didn't win anything after VDV joined but we did step up another level. Partly because of him, partly other players. The team definitely got better as a result of his arrival. That's why any team buys players, right? To get better and be more competitive. Which is all most Spurs fans want.

All the players know that already, and those same players signed contract extensions.

Rose is just a greedy fucker, wanting more than what he agreed to back in December.

I truly hope he gets whats coming to him because Levy will be looking for 60 million and i'd snatch any teams hand off for that.

We haven't skipped a beat without him in the side, so all the bargaining chips are with the club not the player.

Greedy fucker , are you kidding me.
I guess the truth always hurts,

Look what he said about the Chelsea semi final, and who can forget the league cup against Liverpool, exactly the same thing.

I don't disagree - in fact I think we should let him go of we can get Walker-money for him - but if we let him go with no replacement sorted the other players will see this as a lack of ambition and that will be bad.

He will not be sold without a replacement. Walker wasn't, and as i have said a five year contract extension puts another twenty million on his head.

Levy and Poch hold all the aces, irrespective of how much Rose whines.

And if we sell him to another competing club the moniker of 'a selling club' taunts us. Again.

According to Jim White on TS Tottenham did not give permission for Rose to conduct that interview.

That would suggest that players at the Club need permission to do media interviews. I would guess that his agent told him to go ahead and face the consequences?

He happily signed a contract. Whether anyone likes it or not he and his agent were happy to do so. If we gave him fifty grand a week more, how long before he wants another twenty?

He's a greedy fucker. End of.

Sky "Sources" state he is interested in Manchester United and Chelsea.

Jim White said that he said this in "recent developments". Total bullshit and innuendo. Someone should lump that Scottish pillock.

Walker wasn't playing and we won ten of the last twelve without him, and Rose likewise.

Walker and Trippier were in strict rotation in our last 12 games, until Trippier played in Walker's turn against Hull.

I checked before posting about this a couple of weeks ago.

Well, actually, Walker WAS sold without a replacement when you consider that, to be competitive in the PL, you need two PL level players for every position. And now look where we are with that. We don't have a RB for the Newcastle game as it stands.

I'm not sure too many fans are so confident we'd get that level of player in before deadline day with Levy's negotiation tactics and his desire to sign players who need time to grow.

We didn't skip a beat either way.

I have no respect for either of them, end of.

Totally agree with you. The preference for me would be to sign a replacement and make him sit on the bench as 3rd place LB for the next 4-years on £65k a week and watch him lose his England place ... but I get that that wouldn't make too much financial sense ...

... selling him to a European club on the other hand ...

We have two players capable of playing right back. The injury to Tripper is unlucky unless you expect the club to have three players for each position.

No one is crying out for a third left back since Rose has been out.

Who's the other player? Dier?

Who would you start vs Newcastle at RB?

Please don't say Kyle Walker-Peters ...

not for every player on the books, if they did that we wouldn't be the 6th on highest wages outlay. we have 11 players that are all better than Wet Spams.

PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP!!!!! we have been playing in one of the smallest stadiums in the country, yes we are now about to play in the biggest, but we won't know our income until the end of the season.

to be able to try and get on a level playing field we went down the route of building a new stadium, which is going to cost a fucking fortune, including outlay to the whole development. the cost of purchasing the land, building the stadium, a top of the range training ground which will have extra finance to build the accommodation suits.

YES LEVY! the man that if he hadn't bought us, and we was still in the hands of Sugar, we wouldn't be anywhere near the level we are today, said the stadium won't effect our transfer, well it won't he is going to operate the same way he has, the only hope is once the stadium is up he will increase the wage structure.

if you believe we will be able to ever compete with Man U, Man C or Chelsea on that front, then your going to be severely disappointed.

we all want success unfortunately to be honest we have hit heights without trophies around 5 years to early. every player knows our wage situation, and every player knows that joining the 3 higher paying teams they will double + their wages, they also know because the money these clubs have, they can buy success. what they need to start doing is putting in the extra 50% on the field to win things.

I thought Rose looked pissed off at the closing ceremony, and now his best mate has pissed off, he most probably wants the same. well if he wants the same, he will have to wait till we decide to sell him.

Walker didn't have to wait long

If a more successful company than my own, both recently and historically, offered to double my money, I'd jump in a cab and sign the next day.

If I was working in Manchester and it was a job in London, I'd be on the train that evening.

I agree - and I suspect that the vast majority of people would do exactly the same...

The way we're going we should have the stadium paid off by the end of the transfer window.... always a silver lining :cautious:
