Even if he never plays for us again, for another club to now buy him will set them back a fair few million especially when Levy is involved, whereas last summer we would have struggled to get £1M.

Are we not allowed to recall him no?

Harry recognised he was a LB and not a LW

Well if he has a solid season with them and comes back a quality player for us I will be very happy, get rid of his mistakes with another team.

Commentator, Tyler I think, mentioned something about Rose being quoted as saying he wants to come back to Spurs to compete for the LB spot - didn't say a time frame or anything though.

I don't think he's ever going to a great player but it was stupid to loan him out when we had no other fit LB at the club, even in the U21's. I'd rather he was playing there and Vertonghen was playing CB for the last three months.

I've watched every Sunderland match and I truly believe he should be our LB of the future or in the very least be given every opportunity to earn the chance.

Rose should be getting a lot more respect from Tottenham and it's supporters after the consistent performances he has been putting forth this season.

Yep he was very good today I thought and this has been the case on the limited occassions I have seen him play for Sunderland this season.

The majority of people wrote him off way too soon. He had a run of five or so games at the end of 10/11 season and did well. He then sat on the bench for a whole season and so when dropped in again a year he was going to be rusty. I agree with the decision to loan him out, he is still learning the game playing at LB and he needed to play week in week out to do this. Hopefully next year he will come back and be real competition for BAE.

"Are we used to Danny Rose being absolutely incredible? He is the best left back i've ever seen play for Sunderland."
ok so the last part probably doesn't mean a lot but still (y)

I don't think he was particularly helped by Stuart Pearce initially playing him as a left winger in a 4-3-3 for the England U21s. He has settled on a position (having initially been a central midfielder very early on) and his game is developing. He has the drive and belief, if he continues to improve then his future looks good.

He needed this loan spell, regardless of any injury worries we might currently have (even with Kaboul, Dawson, and Benny out, with Smith and Rose out on loan, we are still putting out a very good defence and haven't had to rely on any unproven kids yet). Rose had his couple of seasons where he played half a dozen games, he needed a full season of top flight football, and his Sunderland move has worked out very well for all parties concerned so far.

Was man of the match today, even though they lost. He won't come back here to play second fiddle though, and be happy; not gonna happen. And there's no way he starts before 'the mighty afro'.

Best if Sunderland cough up some pretty dough for him tbh and take him perm.

He's been Sunderland's best player.

That isn't too hard really but he's impressed me alot. He looks better than Naughton.

EDIT: Sunderland fans rave about him http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=745914

He's the one white blood cell in a team full of cancer.

Hes fuckin mint Rose like, wish we had a team full of him.

Danny Rose and Bassong, what went wrong?

Guess we're glad that we never sold Danny, but sad because we sold Sebby
