Long-term I'd prefer Sessegnon as London boy and has even greater potential but preferable would be to have them both this season if we can get Sessgnon to allow him time to bed in.

Them review situation next summer.

FWIW, Windy has posted on reddit that he's heard that the reports that Danny and Poch have met are untrue, and that they're due to have a big meeting in the coming week.

I bet Pochettino will have printed out some stuff from Google and will say these are the players we have bought, or are getting, just in case you don't know them.

If, as believed, Sanchez is followed through the door by Barkley, Aurier, Sessegnon and Foyth, we'll be far better balanced as a squad. Suggestions Toby will be renewing, I think all will come good again. Just a blip. I have no doubts Rose will return, find form, and also get a new deal.

Well he wouldn't of blocked the free kick so I don't see how. Davies looked solid and fairly decent going forwards... Talk about a knee jerk...
He offers nothing going forward. He's just a solid defender......and there's nothing wrong with this BTW. How many over lapping runs did he make? How many times did he go outside his man and get crosses in? This is why all attacks were you going down Trippiers side.

Missed Rose today. Just the kind of game where is pace and ability to get behind a defence can make the difference. I really hope he stays, gets his head down and puts in performances we know he's capable of.

Always miss Rose against Chelsea. Lost all the games we've played them without him.

Need him back. Selling him would be wrong.

Ehh, that's @Archibald&Crooks line. You stealing his material?

Haha, I think he was reacting to me coming on here and posting that soon after final whistle

Davies played decent, well in fact. But...

To qualify my statement, dembele was left most of the match to nullify any Moses counter at pace. Rose would be able to handle Moses on his own. Dembele is far more left this match compared to any others. And he had to sprint back on so many occasions to cover for others who are slower - rose n walker were the ones sprinting back when they played.

The second goal we conceded, think it was our corner or free kick and in such circumstances, rose was always the last defensive man. (Dembele did well to shrug Mitchy off mind u)

Also, Davies when receiving the ball on the touchline, does not have the trickery Nor pace like Rose does to take his marker on..

Rose's running with n without ball, offensively creates space for others as he will drag players towards him

And he seems to up his game against the chavs, every time he plays them, he creates something / scores / assist... at least that's my blinkered memory

Lastly, Chelsea employed the same tactics as the FA Cup semis, soak n counter at pace. And same as semis, our players (defensive players) looked knackered from the 65th onwards, just before sonny came on. And looked ponderous 80th min onwards.

Dembele was probably our motm but he was less effective offensively, because of the amount of work / covering he has to do defensively... wanyama having an off day exacerbating. Usually dembele will have at least a few more dribbles, passes in the final third. The one where he went thru 3 players n overhit a simple release to kane is case in point.

So yes, rose would have made a f-ing difference to the entire gameplay.

I cannot see Chelsea being interested in Rose at all. Alonso must have been their MOTM both against Burnley and against us. With Rose coming back from a long injury, he would find himself being backup to Alonso. ManCity already have the most expensive left back, leaving only ManU as an option for Rose. Not sure they would be willing to negotiate with Levy.

I think he will stay until next summer, hoping to earn a nice move after an impressive season and World Cup.

I think Alonso's performance was aided by the fact Trippier didn't press him enough or give him enough concern too. At WHL last year Walker had Alonso pinned so far back he was unable to do anything, infact both of their fullbacks came out of that game looking distinctively average and it was clear at that moment that we had the better fullbacks - Rose being better than Alonso.

Make no mistake, if Conte could have Rose, he would.

I still have faith in this game changer, all these players coming or purported to be coming are not game changers in the true sense of the word.
