I'm sorry I love Danny but he needs to be made an example of here. How he thinks it's acceptable to go to a tabloid newspaper especially the s** and bitch about the club 3 days before the start of the season is outrageous.

He has 4 years left on his contract and it's a world cup year, hold him to it for at least this season and if he still wants to go sell him next season abroad. I'd love to see his reaction when he's behind Davies in the pecking order and losing his England starting spot to Bertrand.

He wants more money? How about he focuses on getting back in the team first after being out since February. It's unforgivable, he knows all of this media commotion will hinder our start to the season. He can sit on the bench for all I care, there's no way he's going to get a move to Chavski or Utd. So he better suck it up, and get on with playing football.

I don't think it will effect us on the weekend as I see us beating Newcastle comfortably, but should we lose then the media will drag this up as to why we got off to a poor start etc.

Ok maybe he feels the same as what other players are feeling, but from a business perspective why would you go to the sun and publically declare this? And especially in a World Cup years. He should of waited until the tournament is over because now he is probably going to have to make do on the bench - jeopardizing his place at the world-cup.

No reason to drop Davies as his confidence is up, and getting better each game.

Last season we were smashing teams without Rose and Walker in the team so may it long continue.

It's really all about him wanting more money which he knows we can't do so in effect engineering a move away, but yes a lot of what he said is true and how many see it imo.

4 days before our season starts and one of our longest serving and consistent players decides to speak out.

I am annoyed as a long suffering fan but reality is that a lot of what he says is quite fair.

Reality is we won't continue to compete unless we start paying a decent wage to all out squad. Money comparible with similar teams.

We do need fresh blood just to keep levels of competition high.

Some fans are overly shitty with young players and when they hear it it can hardly inspire them.

Main issue for me is this was unnecessary. Pay the players what they are entitled to and they won't moan. If we don't up our game this will be just the start ....

I mean yes it's true we will if we don't get over our Wembley whoodoo, but now the rest of the PL knows that this actually something that is playing up on the players minds. I think the dressing room will be a bit hostile after that comment and honestly there was no need to go publically about it. Say it to the players not the sun!

I'm sure it was picked up on here at the time, but Graham Hunter on his podcast a few weeks back, alluded to the idea that similar to Walker, there were questions about Rose's professionalism etc. and the only reason he hasn't been sold is because we didn't want to let two full-backs go in the same summer.

Yep my thoughts exactly regarding the signings aspect from both of them.

Come on, even Greaves copped stick from supporters, every player has detractors. Rose gets well compensated for any grief he receives. Part of Walkers problem obviously related to Trippier being preferred at times. Poch recently stated that Walkers best days are behind him, obviously that remains to be seen, but Poch's assessment is based on constant examination of Walker's recovery and his ability to play two games per week.

Before season ended Poch indicated that we would only sell players we were happy to let go. Walker clearly fell in that category.

I get you.. But abusing our own players is just dumb.

The Walker sale to a rival was an own goal....sure we got £50 million but more importantly it told our squad they can move on and get double their current wages.Why would Rose not want what Walker earns when he is his equal.

The sale of Walker says we are not ambitious and that we there to make up the numbers. Its fine selling a player but hell reinvest and show your existing squad you mean business... Walk the talk and all that. The only message i get from our inactivity is that we are here to make up the numbers

Now before anyone says there is still 3 weeks until the window closes..... Get real we have had since May 2017 to agree deals with other clubs.

Having read the so called "interview" once again this morning I am even less fussed by it the more I read it.

Would love to hear the audio and hear his tone of voice and how these bits were said instead of just how the scum are presenting it.

It's incredibly sensationalised and he's been very badly informed & silly to give the interview (not sure when it was given) and the Sun with their normal agenda have chosen to release it today.

Expect Management team and squad to be pretty embarrassed , maybe he will be a bit too.
