The papers aren't going to come out and say everything is grand and that the players are 100% behind Poch and have condemned Rose. This headline will generate the most clicks, take it all with a massive pinch of salt

So the players have waited to come back from their hols, start training and only now rise up against the dictatorial Levy. WALOB. I hope Poch calls out Kidd or whichever toad the rag presents at the press conference. Stand the fucker up in the room and ask for his evidence.

We could easily quash this problem by raising the wages so they're a fair reflection of our players value. We don't have to be amongst the top paying clubs but nearer to them than we are currently. Personally I believe the other players agree with rose. We need to deal with this now. It doesn't have to be such a big issue.

I agree we need a load of contract revisions but surely now we need to focus on incomings?

Doubt the need for the presser tomorrow, seems like most of the press know what's happening at Spurs right now, I'm sure they could brief Poch and could be easily wrapped up in 15 minutes!

What a shit show
How the fuck are we allowing all of this to come out with no statement?

Do Tottenham not realise how bad this looks and how worried it's made the fans?

Whoever has been in charge of PR this summer should be sacked because it's been a complete fucking train wreck, right from the beginning.

Thing is, every first xi player, including Rose and Walker, has had a new contract since the beginning of last season except Toby, Son and Wanyana (who has just signed).

I don't see the world's best number 9, two of the worlds best attacking midfielders, the French captain and first choice goalie, or the midfielder continuously heralded by colleagues and peers as the best in the league complaining.

Also, there is a cap on how high wages are allowed to rise each season, something us and the other premier league clubs all signed up to in 2015 I believe.

The scary thing is that after joining Spurs, negotiating with Levy, understanding what the project is about, talking with Pochettino about how it is not all about money. Our players are now outraged they are not paid top whack, have they been living on the moon, are they retarded or is it a lie?

Based on TV money I believe, fair game on other revenue streams. Hence these new sleeve sponsors no doubt.

Has it not occurred to you that the club's response to a public embarrassment is to bring it back into private, keep dignified in the face of the media circus and not fan the flames?

Well with our year at Wembley taking a chunk of our match day revenue away, tv revenue makes up a larger percentage of our turnover than the other top clubs, all of whom will be playing in large stadiums that they own.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but that will only legitimise Rose's actions. It'll be exactly what he wants and even justify the papers' articles too. I can't see Levy standing for that. He'll be forced into action because of the ramblings of a selfish player in cahoots with a disreputable and disrespectful paper. I can't honestly say I know the answer. This whole ordeal puts the club in a very uncomfortable position.

I assume we'll be paying a rent for Wembley, therefore income will probably be increased if anything (guess we may lose out on concessions), profit - less so.

Very surprised that Levy/spokesperson hasn't intervened especially after this follow up article by Kidd. The more Kidd is allowed to speculate as to the mass unrest amongst the players the more potential effect it has on THFC shares, investment and player recruitment. THFC should directly confront Kidd and tell him to provide evidence for his statement. What a mess.

I was going to say this.

I know our club is absolutely shocking at PR, but sending David Pleat on the radio with some half arsed comments that we've heard all summer isn't near good enough.

These hacks will continue to pass of speculation as fact until we come out and put them in their place.

If there us anything in these stories, Poch needs to soften his stance on players being fully on board with the project, or else we'll be playing the U23s come Sept 1st.

Stadium will be paid for though (y)

I just genuinely think this wasn't in Levy and Lewis's business plan. Somehow, they ended up with the best manager and first XI in the Premier League about five years before they planned. And they simply had never budgeted for that.
