Well I for one think he did an excellent job when some of the other players became lathargic and/or tired.

He held the ball up well, ran with it, made some excellent runs which 'amost' came off and had two excellent efforts on goal, one forcing a brilliant save.

I felt he was far more effective than Keane in the last two games and in my opinion, he's earned himself a couple of games ahead of Keane as the latter has gone well off the boil in the last month or so.

He is improving and he did everything that he could for us tonight.

Agreed. Held the ball up well when Berbatov was tiring. To be fair this is the guy who said Keane was shit for years. I wonder how many goals he'd get if he was good? 40? 50?

I think the guy needs to get over the "i have to adapt to them team" nonsense. Sure, when he's dropped off to receive the ball he needs to be able to hold it up and bring others in to play, but when he's in the box his job is to fucking score. There have been several occasions this season where he's been in a position to shoot and he's gone for a pass and fucked it. Another happened today when he tried to pass it for Keane - if that was last season he'd have blasted that in the bottom corner without a doubt. We bought the guy because he's a quality goalscorer, thats what he needs to focus on, not all this trying to be like Keane bullshit that is getting him nowhere.

For the record overall i thought he did ok today. He was working hard and made a few very good runs that weren't quite picked out. Just needs to play his own game and get that selfish streak back for me.

Scapegoat time. Gilberto for giving away the goal in the first leg, robbo for not saving 5 penalties, Keano for not scoring, Berbatov for not getting at least two, Hud for poor distribution, King for not being fit enough to stay on the pitch, Jenas and Chimbo for missing penalties, Woodgate for not scoring in extra time like he did against Chelsea, Lennon for not being involved enough, O'hara for replacing Keane, Zoko for finally scoring and still helping us lose, Steed for his loss in form. Ramos for being tactically inept, Martin Jol for not joining PSV we would def have won then, Levy for not showing enough ambition, DC for showing too much ambition, Gazza for being sick, Glenda for not practicing penalties....

I am just as gutted as everyone else, but not always do we have to find someone to blame. Sh*t happens, we will be back next year stronger than ever.

Personally thought Darren Bent did okey.

I was annoyed with Berbatov's display, although he scored the equalizing goal and pen he was very sloppy with the many chances he had to win the game before the pens.

Pissed off we went out like we did.

Agree with this also. I think he may have a lack of confidence at the moment. Needs a run and a few goals under his belt.
