Caution. So far we can only comment on the latest episode of this public washing of our Club's laundry, and on the face of it, Lammy puts up a ferocious fight regarding one of his biggest employers - certainly the most famous - in his constituency contemplating evacuation.

However there is always two sides to the story.

Lammy, and subsequently the TalkSport chat hosts, did a grand job in slamming THFC as chasing stirling in the grand scheme of things. The intricacies of negotiations were not brought to conversation and there was little balance to the debate over the airwaves - like a Sun campaign trampling all over its readers' indignations.

Levy and the board clearly cannot address every debate that attacks the Club and the apparent road it is travelling.

The rhetoric will ramp up as the important dates near - one at the end of this month and then the final decision to be disclosed in March. Many agendas will be revealed over the coming weeks - each searching for credence in the fog of battle.

As fans we must stay strong as we are the Club. We will have a voice when it matters. The likes of Lammy and his executives have more work to do to ensure that Tottenham Hotspur are not driven out of Tottenham and it may yet be the most viable option for the Club, albeit the most expensive. It is what would all wish for it if were right for the Club.

It is now time for Mr Lammy to resurrect debate with THFC and to ensure that the path is smooth and fair for his most famous employer to remain in situ.

if they wanted us to stay in tottenham they shouldn't have made it such a fucking uphill battle..

i'd be happy to move to Stratford just to spite the bastards

'They' didn't. From the first announcement of the new ground to getting the rubber stamp from Haringey and BoJo took well under two years. For a project of this size, that's pretty damned quick.

Didn't it take Arsenal 3 or 4 years to get planning permission for the Emirates Stadium?

Lammy was very passionate and understandably so.
I'm not against or for the move. I haven't made my mind up yet as I may have nothing to make my mind up over.
Daniel Levy has mentioned a couple of times that we would be foolish not to enter the process of the OS. If we do get preferential bidder status then we will be able to digest the situation and the pro's and con's of both stadium ventures.
Without preferred bidder status we have one option. So until the announcement is made in March lets just enjoy the great atmosphere and the beauty of WHL.
Take it all in people on Sunday, there won't be many more Spurs v Man United's at WHL whatever stadium we move to

I find Lammy annoying, would like us to win the bid just to spite him and watch him squirm

Well, Spurs could always call the club London Hotspurs...
As regards to ManU; they're really located in Manchester are they - though it can be argued that the metropolitan borough of trafford is part of greater Manchester.

Was just going to ask if there would be anything to stop us from being London Hotspur?

Not at all, as I've mentioned in my other posts I feel its along the lines of what the club want to do if they have to re: the name.

I feel its now apparent that we would probably keep the name Tottenham Hotspur unless Lammy could get some ridiculous petition signed by the residents of Tottenham.

But the benefits of renaming and rebranding to London Hotspur would be pretty significant. London, New York, Tokyo, Milan, Paris these names are the big names all over the world in fashion and business.

London, the olympics, the olympic stadium, the connotations, would bring in massive massive sponsorship. The hospitality boxes would be absolutely rammed at crazy prices. The stadium naming rights would possibly be sold on aswell for something like double what we could get for naming rights at WHL.

I still feel that Boris Johnson and the OPLC want a legacy for the city not just the east end, its the London games not the East London games. Football is the key, its a global sport and the Prem is an exciting league recognised globally.

It's all speculation but speculation drives market, theres often no smoke without fire.

IMO - I don't blame Levy. This move would blow us into the stratosphere. The position it would put the club in would be...considerable. You look at the debt at Man Utd, Liverpool's instability, Chelsea/ Abramovich how much longer will that last?, Arsenal are STILL paying off their stadium.

If we got this move it would cost circa £250m to rebuild, and it would be ready by 2015/16, with transport & infastructure links way beyong WHL's wildest dreams. Knock off a possible £100m-£150m naming rights you are talking £100m-£150m for a brand new stadium with some of the best hospitality suites in the country, stones throw from Canary Wharf. We wouldn't NEED to be careful and pay it off over many years like Arsenal. It essentially pays for itself and then some.

Don't forget AEG, an open roof stadium in the city of London? A summer line up of Lady Gaga, U2, Coldplay, etc etc. bringing their incredible stadium shows to LONDON? Tell me it doesn't = £££?

I want to stay at WHL as much as anyone, its a pain in the arse to get to, but we do it and we love it because its our club. But let's get real, the gov't and council are struggling to find money to cover everything let alone help fund new infastructure works around WHL.

It's very sad but if you want success that bad then this is the price. I have always maintained I don't want a Sheik or Abramovich, Levy and co. have proved you don't need it and its wrong. This move would also be wrong, but you can see from what I have listed why the board and Levy have been drawn into this bid, aside from moving and possibly losing the name and history...the club would be well set up to sell for a shit load and become a powerhouse.

Was listening earlier to Barry Hearne who said through gritted teeth Spurs OS bid is the only credible one.

Leyton Orient's owner has been telling Coe and Co?? for ages 80m of running track etc between fans and pitch is unacceptable.

Harry Horseshit attacking someone for being a 'self promoting schmuck'? You've got to laugh.
Interesting, not a word on Lammy the ponce. The transport in Tottenham is so good that Lammy needs a 2nd home rather than travel the five miles to westminster.

Don't you just love these people that live off the taxpayer.

Instead of him threatening to take legal action against Spurs, I want him to keep on concentrating on how he can help Levy and co stay at WHL. Him yapping away is not helping the situation and he should know that.

Quite. The whole thing is a really tough decision and I just can't see it as black and white. At the moment, I'm trying to get my head round why demolishing the OS, building a new stadium and then completely refurbishing Crystal Palace is less expensive than the NDP. Can anyone help me? My perception is that these building cost estimates tend to be lower than the eventual costs.

The salient points are - everyone would ideally like us to be in Tottenham. This will seem to cost 200M more. We need to choose one option or the other to progress as a club. Isn't that all it boils down to?

I don't understand the argument that stadium costs and the transfer budget are completely separate - can you enlighten me jj87? We are a business. Stadium costs and transfer budget will both have to come out of revenue, so how can they be completely separate?

My worry is that the NDP will bankrupt us. Can someone put my mind at rest?

Hes right we are Tottenham Hotspur Fc because we belong in Tottenham!!

We don't deserve the name Tottenham hotspur Fc if we couldnt be bothered to stay in Tottenham it's cheeky and sad to believe we think we can just up and leave our history its upsetting to be frank! No class quality or pride which as a team we are known for is being shown here or no loyalty at all to the ground which this club was built on is bring shown!

We move we havet to change Our name and sorry if that happens where a joke

I feel sorry for Brighton & hove Albion, not yet moved into their new stadium but according to the rules applied by some on here they will have to change their name.
