Only city could afford him. Will be quality if he goes anywhere.

It seems he will leave this summer and i think he may end up le arse as I dont think Barca will send him to a Champions League rival

Uh... funny rating for the obvious sledging of Arsenal as a CL force. ;)

Laudrup did very well at Spain so its not surprising he tries that market to try and pull something out of the bag

I have no idea how realistic this is, but if there is even a shred of credibility in it I think I'll top myself. Not because Swansea don't deserve a player of his calibre, they're a good side, play good football and have as much right to go for good players as anyone else. But because we spend so much time fannying about after targets we'll never get only to see something like that pass us by.

So it is realistic for him to join Swansea on loan but not us ?

Getting Villa on loan would be superb. Will add the needed competition/cover to our forward trio, while letting us use our (probably limited) funds on a creative midfielder and instead look into getting some offensive players in the summer.

For some reason Skybet still has them as massive favourites to land him (we are not even on the list...). Who knows why, but bookies usually make money. As far as I can see, no other books offer odds.

I don't mean to patronizing and I'm sure you know this but bookies odds react to how much money is being placed on a bet. All this proves is that Swansea fans like to waste money.

Well of course you may be right, but I think the odds are not automatically generated, they also adjust them by hand. So if they believe there is nothing in the rumours at all (and I assume they, as the multi-million businesses they are, have much better (even real!) ITK than we do), they would leave the odds reasonable to pull in more suckers. Just my assumption.

Then again if you believe the bookies we've hot favourites to sign William and Sneijder (the latter I could actually see happening...). So perhaps I just want to believe.:)

Why would Barca let him go?

He's still one of Spain's best forwards.
