Ajax midfielder Edgar Davids admits he is keen on a return to Tottenham - as coach. Davids said: "Anything is possible and if an opportunity turned up and it was under the right circumstances I would love to come back to England in a coaching capacity.

May I be the first to say :supered:

That would be great in the future to have a former player that really wants to try, and is a winner. Don't think he got on too well with the current squad though (did he??).

Can't he just come back and play?

But if he did come back to play he should be banned from using his back heel. He was fooking awful with that.

He was practically coaching when he was with us, so it's an obvious step. I'd love him back and I think he'd make a massive difference.

Stick Gus & :supered: in front of the back four and tell JJ to go fetch what they're sending him. I'm sure he's got enough energy.

Setanta:

Davids told Setanta: "Anything is possible and if an opportunity turned up and it was under the right circumstances I would love to come back to England in a coaching capacity. I don’t see why that should not be at Spurs as well. I would love to come back to the club. It is a big club, everyone knows that."
He's been busy on the interview front because he also told The Daily Mail: "I am a Spurs fan as well, don't forget. I hope they are going to do well for the rest of the season. The fanbase they have is very loyal and they will always stay right behind their team."

Gus and Davids in their prime as a midfield partnership would get us a title!

Davids is exactly the type of coach we need right now.

Remember how he used to stay on after training to help Lennon improve - since Davids left Lennon has barely looked the same player as back then.
