Having these 3 on the pitch at the same time is really a problem for us as they all have too many faults.

Hudd to slow to react.Dawson too dopey and slow and loses his man too often.

Zokora although i think is a bit more reliable than these 2 often gives away the ball and is a bit of a headless chicken can't seem to track a runner to save his life.

If we go into games with these 3 in the team which is looking very likely at the moment,it's gonna be same old same old with letting in goals. We need to get quality injury free first team starters ahead of them and especially Huddlestone and Dawson.

I think Hudd can be useful as an impact sub to spray some balls about and create when we need something extra but not as a starter.

i think hudd is nothing more than an impact sub. i reckon ramos likes to use 16-17 players consistently in the squad and zokora and huddlestone will be players from the bench as they can go at centre back or midfield and zokora does have pace to burn and when he plays centre half when we are chasing games it lets us press high up the pitch.

i felt sick after seeing that team on thursday night, nothing seems to have changed from last year at all, gutting at the moment, i mean so many limited players still in the team, dawson, lennon, bent, huddlestone and zokora. its awful that nothings changed yet, where is the big overhaul? it was clear we needed one but its basically stopped dead, maybe its because the team has been in spain but surely that shouldnt matter as comolli won't have travelled. so frustrating at the minute.

Uh huh..

That's why Juande's bothered to slim the Hudd down and got him to sign a new contract because he'll be a good sub.

:bang:

Can't disagree with the other points though. Other than the 'Zokora is reliable' bollocks.

Absolute dog-shit. Sorry, can't think of any better way to put it at this very moment.

Later, I will respond in greater depth.

Last seasons team needed the follow adjustments. A new goal keeper = Gomes. Creativity in midfield= Modric. Balance on the left side = Bale Assou-Ekotto, Gilberto, Dos Santos. Centre Back enforcement = King (hopefully).

Huddlestone is only 21 and will/has/will continue to improve. O'Hara has been exposed to the premiership and will want to kick on. Dawson hopefully playing alongside experience and a confident goal keeper will hopefully learn and get better with age.

Zokora is undervalued by some, he was one of our better seasoned performers last season, excellent professional and filled the gaps when required IE centre, midfield, full back.

I also think that a lot of Zokora's hard work goes unnoticed. However, I would like to see him improve his tackling and creative edge.

Dawson was poor last year, but the two previous seasons was good. There is no reason why he can't recapture his earlier form, particularly playing alongside either King or Woodgate.

Huddlestone for all his technique appears to struggle for mobility. I'm not sure whether this side of his game can be improved, but I'm sure we will see a marked improvement next season.

Nothing wrong with Huddlestone, especially along side Jenas. The only improvement would buying true world class players and unfortunaly they don't usually pop out of thin air, and when they do (Carrick) the big guns snap them up!

I agree about Hud being a very good impact sub. Hopefully,he will develop into being a good starter as well.

Dawson was a joke of a player last season and for a club with top 4 aspirations, Dawson needs to improve. If we are going to sign "Villa, and Arshavin" then me must sign an improvement on Zokora as well.

agreed .. but IMO,

Dawson is a great CB fighter, but as you said he miss his man too much & slow, as GL said he isn't top quality, only if he agreed to be 4th choice, I would like Wheiter from Middlesbrough as our next CB signing.

Zokora form improved too much in last weeks of the season, looked busy and worked so hard. even against Chelsea CC final was bad in 1st half, but he did very good 2nd half.

Huddlestone didn't impress me since Ramos took over ( as Kaboul ) , but now with 12 loss of weight, i'm sure he would become good squad player.

I dont think any of them would make it to any of the top four clubs benches let alone starting line ups.

Infact I could invisage a scenerio for each of them were if they were sold to a mid road premiership team they would end up getting lost and ending up a 'where are they know?' much like Routledge at Villa.

Im not writing any of these players off, and each indeed have their uses as squad players (with potential to become good players) Zokora is an excellent athelte, has good versatility and commitment.

Dawson is committed and can look a good player next to an experienced centre back who can marshall him.

And Huddlestone is full of natural potential and can pick that killing pass or shot to turn a game in the blink of an eye.

problem is to date none of them can sustain great form for a decent period of time and it could be argued that none are good enough currently to be in our starting line up if our targets are to breach the top 4 (although Zokora was a part of the CC winning side)

I would like to think that Ramos and co can work on each of them and mould them into the types of players we need. Not all players are going to hit the ground running and become amazing stars immediately, also a team in our postion needs a big enough squad to compete over the course of a year so players of this calibre are worth keeping so that we have high quality players as back up to our (I hope) supieror quality startin line up.

Completely disagree, although they are not players whom I would wish to see in the starting XI of an FA cup final vs the goons. Football is a squad game now and they are premiership worthy peformers. Look at Manure, they won the title with players such as Fletcher, O'Shea, Brown and Park. Not as glamourous as other names in their squad, but essential to getting through the long slog of the season with as many wins as possible.

I for one think Dawson could become an excellent player under the tutelage of King and Woodgate, Huddlestone got into the England squad at the end of last season and with experience could counter his lack of pace, and Zokora has got tremendous spirit and proffesionalism. At points last season Ramos played him as a centre back ahead of Kaboul, and Zokora peformed admirably. Ever seen Zokora strop, moan or act like he couldn't be bothered in a game? Neither have I.

i would love it, just love it (a la keegan!) if Thudd was to become the CM he can be

controlling the centre of the park, dictating play, spraying balls left right and centre
setting modric and DGS on crazy runs to feed berbs and keane

sigh.

this season?

tbh he IS improving each season and he IS still very young. we can't expect him to fill carrick's boots quite so soon - carrick had had a number of years of not only 1st team experience but also prem experience under his belt before he arrived at spurs.

i have a feeling Thudd will be a legend. we must encourage him!
