If a chairman grants one after 10 years

In Jan it would be 10 years, given he has played with his heart on his sleeve in every game and been club captain I hope Levy wont be petty, deserves a testimonial

I thought testimonials could be done regardless of how long a player has been at a club as the long the player officially requests it and the club agrees.

In that case he should get one

Spurs v Real Madrid please, they owe us and that was one of his finest hours

I'm happy for Dawson and I feel that the way the fans on here speak of him is quite disrespectful. We've had players who went through tough times and we've stuck with them but in return they showed no loyalty and left the club under a cloud.

Then we have Dawson that has a spurs heart and always wanted to play his way back into the first team on numerous occasions but here we have some fans saying "Fuck off, Dawson"....."Do us a favour and go Dawson"...and those were some of the polite requests.

Let's show some class for once and give one of our most loyal servants a good send off (y)

There have been greater players at the Lane but perhaps not many greater men. He gave everything playing for us and having been willing to fight for his place under AVB, and then getting it back, he showed a lot more guts and heart than most.

sad he's gone :(

Mr Dawson, if you ever feel the urge to come back to visit, i would gladly give up my seat for you, mate. A thousand times more a man than any of those who sit on their fat arses and insult the effort you've put in and the way in which you've captained the team through an insane period of upheaval.

I'm sure he appreciated his wages - but also seemed to get that playing was a privilege and gave his all with a smile on his face.

Good luck MD :)

I liked that every time we took a tonking, particularly last year, he was first to grab the team and get them over to the fans to apologise/thank them for turning up. He has always struck me as a really humble chap and gave everything on the pitch, whether good game or bad. Scored a few quality goals for us, too.

Best of luck to him at Hotspur upon Hull.
