He must tbe worth more than the £3M reported by ITK JJ. He was valued at £8M last summer (2013) and it's not as if he played so poorly last season that his value dropped £5m. He even proved Andre wrong.

It's all in the "to suit all parties"-phrasing. Maybe... Dawson get's a sign-on fee rather than a loyalty bonus, Spurs gets a smaller fee and they get a decent player?

Here you go

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...dmits-mistake-trying-sell-Michael-Dawson.html

In fact if you type the words AVB, Dawson, and Mistake into Google (or actually Bing as I'm in work) this is the list of links you get and there's plenty to choose from.

http://www.bing.com/search?q=avb dawson mistake&src=ie9tr

And singling Dawson out for any of those thrashings is a joke. The whole fucking team were shambolic under AVB which firmly points the finger of blame at the then manager IMO.

Fair enough, but when asked the question he was hardly going to say "no I wish we'd sold him because he's shit" even as he was trying to offload him he was saying "Dawson is the benchmark for a captain" bollocks.

Dawson's fallibility as a footballer has been a contributory factor in a few managers getting the tin tack IMO.

Could have gone for £9-10m two years ago. Since then he has got even older, hit the 30 barrier where a players value drops, and form-wise (tactics or not) has struggled. Now we have to make do with £3m.

Yeah, thanks Daws...

Not sure you got your dates correct. Two years ago, he was coming off the worst season here as he had sever ankle injuries that limited him to 13 matches total. Nobody was going to pay that much for him

Maybe 3 years ago? When he was player of the year and Tevez said he was the best defender in England? But it would have been fairly odd to sell him then

No it was when AVB first came in, so summer 2012. QPR wanted him and had a bid accepted. I would link various news reports (all giving £7.5m-£9m (most common), bar the Daily Mirror), but it can be googled in seconds if you really wanted to check. He refused to go.

So that would coincide with the season where he was coming off the injury then. So my bad.

Such a nice guy....I think class in people is a really good thing to value, I know some won't give two shits either way but you just know he's a really good guy.

People moaning about him stealing a living, moaning that he didn't move on sooner...well I tell you what there are some right fucks out there making millions, complete twats.

He still represented this Club with distinction and gave everything. Should get an amazing ovation when he returns to the Lane.
