Wholesale changes are a mistake imho. By all means rest Rose and Walker as their positions are very demanding. I would also drop Sterling and probably bring in Sturridge, or Vardy to provide support for Kane. Other than that, same team for at least the first 45-60

6 players to be rested? Don't know if this is just speculation or based on anything

Yes Slovakia beat Russia but honestly, they aren't a great side. Capable of turning out good performances but they go off the boil so readily and considering they had a good game against Russia, they'll probably go back to being off the pace. That England side should be more than good enough to beat them(and I'm not English).

Alli definitely needs to be rested as the Slovaks look like a very physical side looking to wound their opponents up. Would be a shame if he got sent off for his temperament again.

Slovakia are one of europes top second tier team, they on their day can beat anyone

They aren't as shit as people make and Hamsik has the potential to cause Cahill and SMalling major problems at the back with his through balls

But Hamsik is their only top quality player. I'd say stick Dier on him at all times to take him out of the game, and if he does his job then England will win.

Not really they are a constant threat because of their high work rate. Its like saying athletic Bilbao have no top quality players yet they work really hard to be a constant threat. We saw it against Costa rica teams that work hard can cause england a problem

You can assign one player to stop another playing but how will the other players around them react to the team making runs and etc.

The other thing is, they play 4-6-0 and their players tend to roam around

Makes sense to rotate the squad, give players a game to settle them into the squad should they be needed at a later date.

One thing that does make me laugh is how Kane has been dropped but Rooney has been rested

I don't get what the fuss is about, Still a decent side and we haven't looked amazing at "full strength" so I don't see the harm.

Glad Sterling has been changed, understand Walker and Rose, but at the same time they've been great with Cahill & Smalling.
