Current 3rd place teams are:
  • Slovakia 4pts +/- 0GD
  • NI 3pts +/- 0GD
  • Albania 3pts -2GD
  • Turkey 3pts -2GD

So they're already above Albania & Turkey so go through as one of 4 best 3rd place teams (y)

Updated with pts

Gee I hope Turkey miss out. Every Turkish expat known to man kind seems to be cruising down my street tooting his horn, I'll be pretty filthy if I have to put up with more of their shit in this tournament

Just finished watching the Spain v Croatia game. What a great game, cheered that Croatia winner like a Spurs goal (only second one I've cheered like that after the Hungary equaliser against Iceland. They have a really nice blend of youngsters, primers and old heads. Really wish we'd picked up Jedvaj, I like this kid whenever I've seen him and at 20yo he's got oodles of fucking potential. Just a really good team performance, Perisic was excellent and thoroughly deserved his goal.

If Mandzukic and Modric can be healthy and on form, Croatia are gonna fucking win this thing

Yep.

People might laugh when I say this as well but Modric and Rakitic remind me of Xavi and Iniesta a few years ago for Spain the way they can control a game.

Mind you Rakitic touched the ball about 6 times all night last night.

Some serious footballers in that side though. Love the look of Badelj as well.

Loved Ramos penalty miss more due to the fact Modric told Srna to tell the keeper where it was going.

So European champs Spain made no changes to their starting line-up whereas Croatia made 5. Yet Roy is getting lynched in the media for making 6 changes. I don't even like the guy but it annoys me how the press like to hang people out to dry when it suits them.

I'm calling it now

Italy will beat Spain on the counter.
That wouldn't surprise me at all. Italy are clearly good on the counter and that is the area where Spain struggle most defensively.

Well done Owl face.

Croatia and Wales fighting it out for a place in the final then!
Belgium will almost certainly be on Wales' side too as potential QF opponents. Despite Wilmots' best efforts they will have a great chance of making at least the semis. And we still have no idea where Portugal will end up.

A Croatia v Wales or Belgium semi would be tasty.

Croatia have strength in depth. We have talentless chavs like Jack Wilshere.

Not sure why anyone would laugh at that. Modric and Rakitic are 2 of the top midfielders in La Liga (and Europe).

For this tournament Rakitic has been playing further up the pitch than usual, so he's not linking up as much as he normally would. But that's because we have the depth at that position (link-up mid). The midfield held their own vs Spain's strongest line-up and that was without Modric, Brozovic & Kovacic (for example). No secret that the strength of this Croatia side is its midfield.

Bet the Croats kick off again

There's all sorts of shit going down behind the scenes...if you believe t'internet . According to this info below ,their players (inc Moddy) have to sign career long contracts at 16 to give 50% of earnings to Croatian FA officials . Also they reckon the crowd disturbances are planned to try and get Croatia banned and highlight corruption .

Anyway corrupt or not , for a 4 and a half million nation , they are doing a great job turning out top players .
