I said after the last England match that there's not much point playing Sterling and Lallana, use the firepower instead, which means starting Sturridge and Vardy. Players who are great finishers win you games and that's exactly what happened when they came on.

Next time get it right from the beginning and play a front 3 of Kane, Vardy, and Sturridge.

So, Ukraine out, will it spur them to go out on a high and put on a show against Poland, or are they going to roll over?

Could anyone explain to me why Germany don't just use Muller as the 9 (or false 9 even) and have 3 of Gotze, Ozil, Draxler or Schurle as the AM's?

He's got all the tools for the job, technique, brain, physique, hold up, vision, and he's the best finisher ?

I just don't get it?

really hope kane doesn't get stuck on the bench - would be very frustrating

Think a lot of that was down to Belgium shitting the bed.

Maybe but Italy have looked the most cohesive team so far, along with Spain.

Other teams have lots of good players but don't seem to have a system sorted (England, France, Germany) and even the teams that are playing well are struggling to break teams down (Croatia, Spain).

The gap between the bad and the good teams is much smaller in this tournament than a lot of us were expecting. I think a team that knows what it's doing through good management will go far.

Which doesn't look good for England.

I think you're then asking Vardy and Sturridge to do a lot of defensive work, and you've still got the issue of who's actually going to pass to them.

We need a bit of guile as well as just pace and finishing ability. That's why I'd keep Lallana in the side and also play Wilshere (if he's fit). Probably at the expense of Sterling and Alli.

Play Wilshere?

What has he done to even deserve being in the squad let alone in your team? (the answer you're looking for is fuck-all) And at the expense of Alli? Have you taken leave of your senses?

I can only conclude that the mushrooms in your full english this morning were not sourced from tescos :D
