DeAndre Yedlin insists he has improved defensively as he braces himself for Sunderland's run-in and a return to Tottenham in the summer.

Anyone seen Yedlin in action this year? Some stats or general gameplay would be nice.

Think most have already forgotten him. Is he still not good enough ?

Wached them a few times this year, not alot, but what i have seen of him he looks to be at about the right level at Sunderland TBH. Another year loan to a bottom half team or Championship side i reckon and if he doesn't shine move him on.

He was always a Khumalo/ Pienaar type PR signing anway

My mate (a Sunderland fan) says he's been playing well recently.

Sorry that's all I got

He has indeed improved, and he has pace. However, with Walker and Trippier firmly established at right back, can't see him making headway in our squad, unless Poch decides to play him at right mid-field. Otherwise, he will be off along with Fazio this summer.

By "improved" does he mean "now knows how to take a throw in"?

I haven't seen him but he should have improved just by getting minutes in the premier league under his belt. Has he improved to the point where he's worth a place in our first team as opposed to Sunderland's first team? I suspect if he had we would have heard more about him.

Nice to hear he's improved, it should be we can sell him for more.

It's a bit harsh but I just don't see him getting ahead of our current two right backs

And Kyle Walker-Peters will make the step up as well.

We're pretty well stacked in the RB position.

I think it was a bit of a punt/PR type of signing. I'd be surprised if he could make the step up to our squad by getting past Trippier or Walker or KWP for that matter, but EPL experience will probably increase his value so Levy will be happy.

He hasn't improved enough to dislodge Walker and Trippier from the team, in my view he needs another full season on loan and he needs to significantly improve before he comes into the reckoning.
