Jurgen kept Yedlin in the squad for the Honduras game on Tuesday. He rotated the squad for the game. 6 players in, including former yiddo and current captain america, clint dempsey.

Another interesting factoid i just picked up on the twitter:

@LyallThomas: For those asking, #Tottenham always intended for Yedlin to move immediately but could not obtain work permit. Jan move hinges on Latvian pp.

Come on, Latvia. Do your job.

Oh and DeAndre chose Tottenham over Roma, btw. DeAndre Yedlin! He's a yiddo! Yidlin!!!!!!!!

Playing 2nd leg of MLS playoff quarterfinals against Dallas right now...they're up an away goal (1-1 draw first leg) so he's been given a very defensive role today, normally bombs forward of course. Hasn't been beaten yet (though remember this is MLS).

Did very well tonight in a strictly defensive role, IMO. Only got forward once and put in a pretty good cross into the box that Dempsey couldnt get a hold of.

So hard to watch this league but that was the best of the quarterfinals, at least it was up for grabs until the end. Playing on that pitch must be a nightmare though, might as well play on ice with the way the ball moves.

Yep. MLS is very hard to watch. The dropoff from watching EPL to watching MLS is HUGE! Sane as the quality. And the turf is a travesty. Seattle has a great stadium and support, but a terrible pitch. Cant change the surface either since its not a soccer specific stadium. And yeah the QF's have been awful.

Every time NBC goes from the late EPL match to the afternoon MLS match, I immediately think of John Cleese.

In all fairness to the MLS, I wouldn't put my money on spurs advancing in the playoffs at the moment...

Anyone else catch the play-off game the other night LA v Seattle ? I managed to catch about an hour of it. Yedlin is very, very similar to Walker. Maybe a little less….what's the word….erratic ?

They both have gobs and gobs and gobs of potential too. Walker is much further along in development though.

Agree, but I think he can be worked on developed into a fine RB/RW.

Walker...well. :D

No, hopefully poch can sort walker's discipline and concentration out. Will give himsome slack and let poch work on him and see what happens.

It really worries me that people think Yedlin is going to come in and potentially challenge for a first team place.

He will be the third best right back at our club when he arrives.

He is constantly caught out of position and upfield. Kyle Walker isn't the dopey bastard everyone makes out, nor is Naughton as bad as people suggest.

Considering how his defense is constantly improving, and that Naughton is likely to be sold, Yedlin will be the 2nd choice RB when he arrives. No ones saying he'll unseat Walker so I dont know where you're getting that from.

Or Poch could do the sensible thing and make Yedlin second choice RM.

I would be very surprised if we sold Naughton if I am honest. You talk about his defensive side improving, as if to say the attacking part of his game is spot on. His end product is appalling.

And although this isn't a case of "he is going to be our first choice right back", this is where I get it from...

Ludicrous.
