Should be a good loan for him, if he gets game time, which given the way Sunderland have started he must do, surely. Can't be worse than what they already have.

Playing well. Chested down a crossfield pass then flicked it over Kolarov's head and burnt him for pace down the wing and then put in an excellent cross. Should've had an assist.

Great strength, pace, and cross to create a chance that Toivonen should have finished. Then thirty seconds later he's nowhere to be found as De Bruyne scores down the left. I was looking for this thread while it happened - from the replay it looked as though he and the LB had swapped sides?

Quick off the mark isn't he? Stating the obvious, but I haven't seen him play since the WC. Definitely great on the offensive, and appears to be one of the few players who can stick with Sterling when he's got the ball.

GOAL - Sunderland 1-4 Man City
Ola Toivonen (83 mins)

The start of a comeback? Probably not.

Good goal though for the hosts as Ola Toivonen ghosts in unmarked and flicks DeAndre Yedlin's cross past goalkeeper Willy Caballero with his head.

Many of their fans saying he was good offensively but quite poor defensively (it was against City to be fair). Seems their fans are more knee-jerk than ours, with many already completely dismissing him.

I think give it a season or two we will move Walker on and go with Trippier and Yedlin

I'm unconvinced on that. I think Walker has to improve, especially taking out the occasional brain fart which I think occurs when he tries to be a bit too clever, and he needs to work on his crossing, but apart from that I think he is more what Poch wants from his right back and the other two may suffer a little because they are not quite as physically combative, and the full backs can get exposed massively in Poch's system

I sincerely hope this is Walker's last season. We should cash in whilst we can.
For someone who is so fast, it is shocking how much he manages to slow our attacking play. Belts forward and stops to pass to a player who is being tightly marked as everyone has caught up. Also his desire to constantly have hold of his opponent when defending drives me nuts, it is asking to give away needless free kicks and penalties.
