I must admit I'd be very unhappy if Yedlin was used only for commercial purposes only.
I personally feel we have a duty to develop this kid give him a chance before being written off....Kilsmann was very local about him coming to Spurs it was big news in the MLS. I really want Yedlin to do well seeing him play for USA he looks very good.

Hopefully I’ll come back fit and sharp. It will be good because I will be at the same level as everyone else when we all come back rather than coming in mid-way through the campaign as I did this year.”

There my friends, lies the truth. What some on here expected from a young kid moving to a new Continent, learning a new culture and a new system and tactics is beyond me.

Considering many still say that Lamela is still "settling in" after two seasons speaks volumes about some of the posters on here.

I don't see the need to rush with either player tbh, both are young and talented with plenty of time to improve. Wouldn't mind Yedlin having six months to a year playing regularly in England (ideally lower Prem) to help him find his feet though, might do him more use than sitting on our bench behind two other right-backs. It needn't be the beginning of the end for him, quite the opposite..
