Don't worry, I'm 99.9% sure Davies will start. Part of me feels bad for Rose. He had an great start to the season IMO and was one of our best players- at the same time, Davies wasn't playing that well. He got injured and Davies has put in some excellent performances (although Rose has played nearly as well/as well a few times this season) and now he's second choice again. Saying that, his performance against Leicester didn't help. Oh well, I'm comfortable with our Left-Backs now and Poch has a good problem.

Davies and Rose have different qualities. I dont think that Poch's 4-2-3-1 really works with Davies. We lose the overlapping FB on the left and it severly restricts our attacking options and narrows our play. Yes we are more defensively sound but why do you want to be more defensive when you are playing at home? I think if Davies plays we become very predictable and Jose will know that most of our attacks on the flank are going to come from the right with Walker and Lamela. I thought Rose was outstanding earlier in the season and there is no reason why he cant be used here. Chadli needs to up his game as well if Rose plays as he is quite poor in getting back and covering.

Why not just put this in the match thread? Besides, you're wrong anyway. @THFCSPURS19 is the first person to actually say it how it has been this season. They are both good players. Enough of this hate for Rose! It's so undeserved!

Yes you're right about the fact that Rose is a better attacking full back and that we are home against Chelscum. Lets not forget our home record has been very poor this season. We all know what Chelsea are capable of and maybe we should approach this game like an away game as Chelscum have better players in nearly every position apart from in goal. We can then catch them on the break and hopefully take our chances the way we didn't at Stamford Bridge. I also know that Chelscum do have a poor record against us at home so long let that continue. COYS!

Neither is really good enough. But out of the two, I prefer Davies as he at least give us some defense. Rose look good with his pace forward but he can't cross as his crosses always hit the first defender; and worst still he can't defend at all. Remember the sort of fool he made himself the last game he played?

Rose has so many haters on this site. Not even gonna bother defending him as I'll have Disagrees and Dislikes and WTFs thrown at me.
Rose is better in games where we need an attacking threat, Davies for games where we need to be defensively sound.
Davies tries to go forward, but he rarely ever does anything with the ball. Ran into defenders about 50 times in the United game. Assist for Eriksen v Swansea was one of his rare moments in attack this season.

I sometimes think do some of you guys watch the same games as me. How the fuck is Rose good at attacking? he never ever puts in a decent cross that reaches our man and has no footballing brain whatsoever not to mention what a shit defender he is which is what he is supposed to do at left back....defend!!! Davies is by far the more accomplished, comfortable and all round better player and left back than Rose ever will be. Rose has one thing and that is pace but what good is pace if you don't have the ability to do anything with it. Rose is a disaster waiting to happen and he will be torn a new asshole if he starts today.

I can think of several brilliant balls Rose has played this season off the top of my head. A couple in particular to Kane stand out. His crossing is markedly improved this year.
If you think Davies has been better than Rose so far then I can't help you. Rose had a bad game out last time vs Leicester but prior to that and his injury he had the starting role locked down.
