Wow, even the Daily Fail are starting to write positive stories about our players.

It's been done before, with the likes of Rooney.

Great young player with belief in himself, fast tracked and thrived at the top of the game.

The difference here is that he is doing it from League 1.

It's all happening so fast, premier league and England call up straight of the bat.

Got to say though he is really taking it in his stride.

I'm really hoping that his coolness and determination is the real deal, and we get a few good years football from the kid.

Of course, I hope we will be able to keep a hold of him too.

That post match interview with him and Vertogen was class.

For me his a instant hit, any lad that's got the balls to try flicks and tricks in a hot - tempered derby has got my backing for sure!

Love the boy.
But I hope it's not a case of
premature adulation.
Not exactly stealing in under the radar at the moment.

I have to admit after Milton Keynes got promoted I wondered if we should loan him there for the start of this season. I figured he wouldn't make the first team (this was before we sold the likes of Stambouli) and he hadn't even played in the championship, it would help his development to play every week one league below instead of playing in the under 21s. He does seem to have everything but I don't want to expect too much from him before he's ready because we've done that before and it's backfired on us. He's shown us his ability, something we probably wouldn't have seen if Mason and Bentaleb hadn't been injured. When Son, Clinton and Chadli fit too he probably won't be starting every week and it might help him progress out if the limelight. In five years time he can be one of the best midfielders in the league but although he's done brilliantly so far I don't want to over burden him before he's ready, which he almost is but not quite.

Love the bitter comments on that article from Arsenal fans. Even enjoyed the predictability of the comment from a Utd fan thinking they'll just snap him up if and when they want (Alli's actually a big Liverpool fan so not sure he'd want to play for Utd at all).

I doubt if he is going to be relegated to shorter appearances even when they are all fit.

There's been plenty of players in the past that have got into the team due to injuries then held onto their spot. Pretty sure that's how Bentaleb got his chance?...here's there and it's up to others to do better now.
