I've been critical of Alli just in him not keeping his game more simple and trying too many flicks but you can't argue with what he brings. Seemed to keep it a lot more simple today from what I saw too.

Do you have a curved TV?

Is it better than a flat one or is the curve just a gimmick? I can't work out what it adds.

To me, it doesn't add much but it doesn't take away anything at the same time. Mines a 49" so maybe the effects of one are clearer on a bigger size. I also sit pretty much in front of it so I guess viewing angles may have to be taken into consideration depending on your seating arrangement. If I'm honest for me it's really not too different at all, I'm never reminded that it's curved when I look at it if you know what I mean. Only when I look at it from the very side does it look different to me. I'd have to watch it side by side with a flat one to try and spot differences.

the kid is a fantastic talent, he really is.
Absolutely agree if he played for anyone else, produced by for them what he has for us we would be jealous as fuck. Kid is unbelievable for 20, a real game turner/winner.

Tonight he was great, Gerrardesque. The way he drove us forward, always tried something positive with the ball, took responsibility for possession under pressure, this was his best performance of the season.

Interesting that you say that, because I thought that there was nothing about his game today that reminded me of Gerrard. Nothing at all. Martin Peters, maybe. David Platt even. Gerrard, no.

as far as Im concerned he should be on the team sheet every week unless his leg is broken. he can be as good as he wants to be and the nitpicking is astonishing to me.

This is probably why Poch is top class manager and a mental coach with a proven record of improving young players, all those little flicks and tricks that Alli does and those frustrating games he has would have seen him hauled off and probably dropped from the team if it was down to us or any other manager who isn't in Poch's ilk but the manager is willing to put up with those frustrations because he sees the potential in him and he has the ability to produce now and then.

Not only is his record in his first 50 Spurs games better than all Spurs midfielders bar Van Der Vaart (who it might be added was the finished player when he arrived, Alli is fucking 20!) but I'm pretty sure I also read that he has significantly more goals after 50 games than all of Lampard, Gerrard and Beckham.

Just a special footballer who we should appreciate more than we do.

Not that the stats aren't incredible... They definitely are, but it's only for the premier league. I'd be interested to see if anyone pre-premier league has done better.

This. People judging alli as a finished article need their heads checking. He is doing something practically no 20 year olds are doing or have ever done. He has time to work out the flaws in his game and when he does he is going to be unstoppable.

I predict that curved tv's will go away in the next couple of years.
LCD/LED have very narrow viewing angles, ie, you can't see them from side on. So curving the screen means you only get a good effect sat up close and bang on the middle.
Great if you're a single hermit. Rubbish if people are sat together in a room in different places.
Hope this helps. (y)

Back to Dele

http://www.skysports.com/football/n...i-now-worth-more-than-50m-says-jamie-redknapp

Not sure about the part where we have to match his ambition, I think we are for now, proven by his new long contract.
I think it's about time people buy in to Dele. I was in the match thread yesterday and it was ridiculous. He's possibly the reason for our sudden upturn in form over the last year or so and those stats show it.
