...exactly when would that be? He's not played 'well' at all this season (and I would say never but that is my bias for actual footballers). He did have a 3 game set of games where he was definitely better and acceptable but 'well' is stretching it.

I’m confident he’ll come good again. He’s still only a kid. You don’t go from young player of the year two seasons in a row to dog shit. Not sure why his game isn’t clicking but I’m a long way from giving up on him.

Nope, didn't come through, try again. I'm sure it was humorous and delightful but I can't see it. Try answering with words and regale me with stories of world class talent and skill. As I am sure that had his shot gone in at the end you and other fanboys would have been calling me out about how well Dele played and how important he is to our squad. Of course, as always, forgetting about the other 89+ minutes of bumbling that contributed to us being in the situation of needing saving.

Fanboys? For supporting a Spurs player? Have a word.

Not gonna slate him too much because he's been very good recently but disappointing that he didn't step up today with Eriksen out.

It's not giving up on him if you never jumped on the train. If you see the player for what he is, a goal-hanging second striker with fleeting moments of 'brilliance' but with a severely underwhelming overall game, then you never have to be disappointed. consistency is never a thing that is going to come to his game unless he improves his technical deficiencies.

Are you actually taking pleasure from one of players having a bad game because you get to say ‘I told you so’?

You are the worst kind of fan. You don’t deserve to watch football.

Amazing how a guy who has never had a good game and isn’t a footballer has been involved in more top flight goals and assists at 21 than any of Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes despite only having 2.5 seasons under his belt.

This is silly. I support Dele's efforts when on the field but that doesn't mean I have to divorce myself from objectivity. The fanboys are the ones calling him 'potentially world class', 'great player', etc.

BBLG you are a great poster here and I respect you but this is beneath you. No reason to attack me.

I called some posters out because I got called out last game by @Shadydan . I didn't see you having a word with him. Turnabout and all...

He seemed to return to the form he had about 7/8 weeks ago which was a surprise. Let's hope he's back on form next weekend.

No. No you don't at all. You fill matchday threads with vitriol about him. That isn't supporting him.
Even @Streetspur77 won't support you in this claim. When he does something worthy of praise I praise him. When it's the opposite then... Just like 2 pages ago when I faced the music after being called out.

Edit: Evidence of the vitriol or it didn't happen. I've made my thoughts on Dele very clear but few could be described as vitriolic. Please back up your claim.

He was no worse then any other player today so it would feel harsh to single him out, also he's only 21 which is so easily forgotten, he's not meant to be consistent. I personally think he'd benefit from a move deeper but you could do worse than dele in your two behind the striker

I would show you some stats that show how dele compares to other players who play in his position but you don't think stats matter:D

P.S goal hanging can't really exist with the offside rule which was bought in to stop it, it's just called good positioning

Oooo a third thing we disagree on. But i think we can lump it in with the first.

166 first team professional football appearances. And yes I don't expect consistency as it would be foolish to expect someone with his touch to be consistent. But that is my point isn't it. If he was 25 with 166 games would you expect consistency? It's experience not age. The age issue just provides a convenient excuse but he is not like other 21 year olds with 30 games under their belt.

I personally think he'd benefit from a move deeper but you could do worse than dele in your two behind the striker
Oh christ no. No desire to see him flopping looking for the foul while the other team is driving at our goal. He doesn't have a true appreciation for the ball for me.

I would show you some stats that show how dele compares to other players who play in his position but you don't think stats matter:D
No, dammit it's goals. I would have expected you to get that one right.;)

So you going to literal here huh? Didn't see him dropping in the hole to pick up the ball in Eriksen's absence. Wonder why that was?

He has to start moving the ball quicker, he dribbles way too much. Has so much talent but really needs to simplify his game. Also, don't understand why he's impossible to substitute. It seriously never happens, in games like this Llorente and Lamela should have been swapped for Alli and Sissoko.
