Here are some previous Twitter poll results:

Fine ok. You’re obviously not allowed to have opinion on here about a player. Without receiving personal abuse. Actually thought this forum was above that. Anyways I’ll leave you to it.

I replied to you politely.

Lots of people have been very critical of Alli this season without getting abuse.

The only way you have backed up your view is a Twitter poll agreed with you. A Twitter poll once had Kieran Tierney as the best striker in England so most can see how flawed they are.

You have simply failed to back up your views with anything that anyone can respect.

He’s a really weird player tbh. Most of the time he’s pretty horrible to watch and very uneasy on the eye. If ever a player was bambi on ice it’s him. Sometimes you are literally screaming at the TV screen for him to pass it. He’s dithering is quite staggering at times. I also have no idea why he tries to dribble because he rarely if ever beats his man, just invariably falls over and gets free kick if lucky. However you can’t argue with his goals and assist record. But for his status you expect a player that can do special things. In his whole spurs career I can only really remember a handful of special moments or exceptional goals or assists. Ultimately he is overrated and if you could get £125m and spen that wisely you could probably makes us a stronger squad and team.

Out of curiosity , if you think that (in your own words) he is ‘a really weird player’ , ‘pretty horrible to watch’ , ‘ very uneasy on the eye’ and ‘bambi on ice’ then why would any club want to pay £125m for him?

If Moura comes in, I think dele would be seriously under threat probably for 1st time. Son on left Moura on right Eriksen behind Kane feels much more balanced. Interesting to see how he’d react.

Barring that ridiculous dive he actually had a really good game today, very tidy and positive.

Will probably get ignored by some people that are all to happy to point out his flaws though. :)

And that's the only part of his game he needs to lose. That is something I can't stand from any players.

Thing is, we know he can play one touch football but he rarely does. There were times when all that was required was touch to move the ball wide. Instead he'd hold the ball, linger and then pass. By the time, the Liverpool backline were already defensively set.

For someone that didn't dive he didn't protest and neither did anyone else

I agree. He actually got himself involved in build up play and showed that he in fact can play deeper and more mature. Shouldn't sound shocked as it's not like he's never done it before but perhaps the goals got to his head and he needed to put the team first. Played well against Utd too.

Yeah, I actually did not think it was a dive - I think he just lost his footing and went down - thats why he was still trying to play the ball from the ground. Given his reputation, can see why he was carded though.

Or even he was expecting contact and therefore set his body up for contact and then when I didn't come it was too late so he fell over

But then crucially he didn't appeal so he can't be accused of trying to deceive the ref, where was the deception?

But yes as you say his reputation proceeds him

When he's played deeper he's more responsible/mature with the ball, I think Poch allows him to have a bit more flair and try things out of the norm when he's playing in a forward position personally.

Is that 5 yellows? And if so, does he miss the Newport game rather than the Arsenal game?

I like alli but he is not a number 10 imo and he seems to have really dried up with goals.
He needs to play in the cm in a 433 alongside a hardworking and ball winning dm.
For perfect balance imo our best team which would suit dele will be....

------------------------Lloris-------------------
Aurier------Toby--------Jan-----Davies
---------------------Wanyama---------------
----------Dele-----------------Eriksen-------
----Moura------------Kane-------Son-----

Although lamela may have something to say about that. With his return and mouras signing there is a big case to be made for us to implement a very hard pressing team. That would see dele drop to the bench for lamela. Would be unreal.

The problem is that he strikes me as the type of player that wont accept being dropped or sat out.

He played well today. Wasn’t holding onto the ball for too long, which is usually his biggest weakness.
