Englands problem is they havnt got enough good players.

Kane
Alli
Sterling
Walker

is about it

Depends on what you call good I guess.

I’d call Kane and Walker world class personally. Sterling is very good, as is Dele.

England have enough good players to get to the quarter finals, but to get further they’d need a solid system that plays to their strengths. Not stuff like Gerrard and Lampard in centre mid, Beckham free role and Scholes on the left wing for example. All class players, but zero balance.
We don’t have many top class players so we need to be solid, restrict the best sides and make the most of the few chances we would create against that level of team.

Portugal were an average side bar Ronaldo in the last Euro’s. Greece won 04 with a very, very average side. Leicester won the league etc

We are massive outsiders of course, but we have a fairly nice(ish) run to he quarters...

I still believe!!!

Interesting stat on bein sport.

After 100 games, Dele Alli’s record for goals scored and assists is better than;
1. David Beckham
2. Paul Scholes
3. Steven Gerrard
4. Frank Lampard

Let that sink in.

I really can’t take anyone seriously who doesn’t see what he brings to the team. If you don’t know by now, you never will.

He literally never hides or gives up.

He had a quiet spell earlier this season but post Christmas he’s been largely excellent, I’m not sure why it goes so unnoticed. Admittedly he hasn’t helped himself with some of antics but he brings so much to the team, and to the England team.

We’re lucky to have him.

Not just slightly better either but significantly better. 61 goals and assists in 100 PL games at the age of 21 is incredible.

when he scored his first and ran over to the home fans cupping his ear, I woke the whole house up.

if Southgate goes with Lingard he'll be looking for a job when he comes home from Russia.

He’s not going to is he. It’s just the media trying to create a narrative that isn’t there. Southgate isn’t stupid enough not to go kane and Alli up top.

Walker! World class? Not for me.

To stand any chance Southgate must pick Dier ahead of Henderson...but he won't.

The problem with Alli is that he's a victim of his own success. Some fans have become spoilt and don't realise what a gem they have on their hands. We've had multiple managers searching and failing to find a goal scoring midfielder like Lampard or Gerrard but now we have one and he's only 21 years old...it just fathoms belief that there are some people who would sell him. I'm glad they aren't in charge.

Alli and Kane are England’s only world class players. To think either one isn’t on the team sheet is laughable. We all know how this is going to end, don’t we?
