My only optimism of us doing anything is because Levy might actually be afraid of Poch leaving so he'll do something. If it wasn't for that I'd have no hope.

I agree with so much that you post it feels weird to oppose your view here. But i dont think Levy is gonna sign players based on a fear of Poch leaving. If that were true we would have signed in the summer. And if the sentiment were true we wouldnt have added duribg the death throes of Ramos or Sherwood.

My view is we will add because we need to. It was an error to sign nobody in summer imo, not because we needed first teamers but because we needed squad players. I accept the 'sell to buy' model, but our injuries this season have us down to the bones. My personal onion is that Levy thought our squad was good enough for top 4, fair enough. But its exactly the likes of Alli that we didnt have suitable cover for that has hit our play style.

Im not saying we need a cover player at the level of Alli, but our existing replacements are basically shit. Lets move them on and try for the likes of Grealish or Cheek (no chance) who could at least be a better fill option for Alli

Dele plays at AM. He has done his entire time with us. I believe he’d be very good in a three man CM but that’s besides the point. He is one of 6 AMs for 3, sometimes two positions. The other five are Eriksen, Son, Lamela, Lucas and Sissoko. Dele can play down the middle or from the left. Eriksen can play left right or centre. Lamela can play from the right or through the middle. Son and Lucas can both play either wing. Sissoko can only real play on the right, or if central it’s CM not AM.

That is massive amounts of depth. Almost all of it is very high quality. Eriksen and Son were both fantastic last season, Lamela has always been useful and this season he’s been one of our best player, Lucas is one of our best players too this season and even Sissoko is proving useful.

We should have bought in the summer and your are right, we needed cover, but not for Dele, his alternatives are amongst our very best players, amongst the league’s best players in some cases, so to say his injury leaves us with shit alternatives is insanity.

CM is another matter. Dembele, Winks, Wanyama, Dier, sometimes Sissoko. Three have had significant injury issues, one is very limited and one is only really useful defensively. Dembele and Wanyama out for two younger, fitter, more dynamic options was necessary, but without shifting two highly paid established players it just screwed up our plans.

Yup thought he looked excellent. Him sancho and chillwell were having their own private game. Real dilemma now for Southgate what 3 to play for Croatia.

Part of a 3 is he perfect position imo. Gives him the freedom to make those runs in behind and looked very good tracking back last night.

Well the guy filming doesn't shut up so it's impossible to hear what Dele is saying.

they should sue him for breach of privacy, at the very least whatever money he received from whatever scum tabloid should be given to charity

The guy that filmed him and Barkley is a prick

Yep, doesn't surprise me in the slightest he's a West Ham fan...

I call bullshit on the whole thing. It's quite telling that he claims "Barkley is saying he's gonna break people's noses" when he actually looks pretty calm the whole time.

Just another idiot looking for his 5 minutes of fame.

Too many idiots think they can do what they want on social media.

It’s like when that cockwomble was recording Giggs having a slash and Giggs was understandably annoyed (and the fan seemed ignorantly oblivious).

Same when Jenas was having a wee although he sang along, I still think it’s a massive encroachment of privacy and people seem to think they can just record what they want using their smart phones. Social media and YouTube can be poison, which is a shame in particular regardless by YouTube as it’s good for watching for most things but you get an element of nobs who will do anything for a bit of infamy / fame.

"Is this the birth of Dele Alli as a box to box midfielder"

Didn't he do something that for MK Dons then was moved forward by Poch, now he's being moved back again for club and country?

Yes he played in a 3 man midfield for the majority of his time although on occasions he’d play behind the striker

I have never seen or heard so many fans from loads of different teams stick up for high profile players like Dele and Barkley. I would say 90% are condemning the dick who took the video.

Dare I say it, that fans are finally reconnecting with England players after the World Cup and Nations league group win?

Fans would have joined in with the lambasting a couple of years back
