I was at the Audi cup and he looked the real deal the first time I saw him. He has done nothing in the last few months to change my mind. We have seen a few special talents come through the door, I just hope the new stadium means we wont have to watch him go out of it too.

Yes , a good prospect , but am I the only one to be a tad concerned by the overhyping of our youngsters ?

There may be other reasons for Kane's loss of form of course , but the absolutely massive hype last year....has that helped him do we think ?

So now Alli , after a few prem starts with no actual trees being pulled up in his performances for us or England , is the new messiah .

I'd really rather they left him alone to be honest

Agreed. Like Kane and a few others there's no doubt the talent is there but as yet we've not done anything with this exciting young team. I'm hoping in a few years they'll mature into a great group of top quality players so we have a side that can compete with the best but we're not there yet. I'm not too worried about Kane I've no doubt he'll have another good season, just hasn't scored many yet, don't worry he's playing OK it'll happen for him.

This kid could be as influential as Hoddle for this team in this era. I think he really could become that good.

I agree that the pressure to keep delivering after breakout seasons for our youngsters is annoying...

However, it's only under pressure that you find out who cuts the mustard and who fades to mediocrity. The mental aspect of football is massive.

It appears that Alli has an unusual and exciting combination of qualities: an ideal physique, advanced skill, evident mental strength and some footballing vision.

He could go very far indeed. But he's 19. A great deal can still get lost along the way.
