It says a lot about the drive of the team that Dele Alli insisted the performance against Chelsea ‘wasn’t perfect’.

The England international played a key role in the 3-1 victory as we dominated from the first whistle to end the Blues’ unbeaten start to the campaign and climb above them into third with our 10th win in 13 matches in the Premier League.

Really great to see a 100% focussed performance from Dele. No nutmegs, no showboating, no petulance - he simply blotted Jorginho out of the game through hard work and concentration, scored a beautiful goal and did everything that was asked of him. Fantastic performance and my MOM.

Dele played so well, should have scored at least two.

Jorginho is going to have to used to having a player sit on him, I think he will start to get wound up he snapped at Ali, was lucky he didn’t get carded a couple of times yesterday. I’m hoping Chelsea are going to have a big blip.

P.s has equally gone to far what’s up with so many woman’s commentators in football and rugby.

I say this as I’ve had football and rugby on in the back ground they taking over.

Dele had so much space yesterday - normally someone is right up his arse.
Now maybe that's because we were quickly regaining possession so high up the pitch, or maybe it's because they were playing one of the best DMs in the world as an attacking midfielder.

Dele had a great game, but chelsea got their formation very wrong imo.

Nutmegs are a legitimate skill used to get passed an opponent in open play. It is no longer considered "taking the piss". Back in the "good ol' days" someone would have probably broken your legs with a two footed tackle from behind if you did a nutmeg but now it is definately perceived differently.

I don't like that they get woman who are ex players doing it purely because they are women and ex players, rather than someone who is actually good at it.
If you played for England the jobs yours even if you continually get words muddled, players and teams incorrect and generally talk shit.
I realiise that takes out a large part of the male contingent as well but again some of them got the job because they could play football not be a good t.v. presenter so out them as well.
Equality but give the job to someone who is good at it please.
I like Bianca Westwood. She's is actually good at it imo, as opposed to her only redeeming feature being she is female, like some of them.

I'd rather have Alex Scott, who was not only a good player for her country, is also erudite and articulate, than the likes of Robbie Savage... who is the absolute diametric opposite. Dense, inarticulate, and was a shite player.

Well on the topics being discussed - Dele was brilliant. Can sometimes appear a bit immobile but clearly shifting gears yesterday - Dier pointed out that he had been struggling with injuries since the World Cup. Having Moura fill in has clearly helped.

And on commentators and pundits - It think BT have the best pundit lineups I have ever seen but the absolute worst host. I mean horrendous - that Jake something or other. Disrespectful, no sense of genuine conversation conduct, riles people up on personal matters that touches a nerve under the umbrella of "banter". Cringe worthy and unprofessional. He kept giving Ferdinand a tough time for some reason in the post match analysis.

Humphries is a hack. He's a kids TV presenter who lucked out with the F1, and has jumped ship to the better offers ever since. Zero interest or knowledge in our game.

Shows what happens when you mix work with an SC post. I meant post match analysis not post balance sheet analysis. But yeah - awful presenter. Don't normally wish anyone badly but my goodness I hope he goes back to kids programs.

David summed him up perfectly.

Not sure what's meant here... But tbf I don't necessarily expect the presenter to be the expert. By hack I mean he'll just be saying what he's told to. He's pure vanilla.

And is that Tim Lovejoy?? Dear christ, what a **** he is.
