Just playing devil's advocate here, but.......
He didn't have to think too hard before leaving MK Dons to join us.
If Barca or RM make a concrete high bid, would you really believe Alli's head wouldn't be turned? Surely at the least he would want to hear what they have to say.

I imagine we would be looking for another huge, say £100m fee, for him. If one of the Spanish giants offer that, can you really see him staying? As far as I know, he's not a Spurs fan from conception, so we're don't have that pull on the heart that Kane has. Alli could rupture something the day after they sign him and end his career. He might never be as good again as he is this season, even without an injury. If the club settled on, for instance, £50m plus Isco, would anyone on here think that was a nightmare deal?

Way too early for him to go anywhere IMO. He knows the way we are moving and what we have here. He also seems pretty down to earth (as did Bale), but he's made himself a nice little niche here at a club which can and will compete. We weren't near enough when Modric and Bale left. I think he knows what side his bread is buttered and I can't think of a better set up for him than where he is right now.

I would suggest for the kind of fee we would want he is yet to really make a brand of himself and this is a big part of world record transfers. Outside of England, he probably doesn't get the same media coverage and I would want the exposure to build up first. If I was RM I would be inclined to wait a year or two, let him develop both his game and his image before spending that kind of money - then again I am sensible and they pay £80k (allegedly) a week to a 18 year old who plays for their B team so what do I know

he is 20
they wouldnt play 100m for him
Neither team would probably start him yet
Here for at least another 2 years, then we have the stadium, think as long as we keep progressing he will be happy to stay
